Just a word of warning to matcha buyers. My first experience with the company went smoothly and they seemed professional with a decent product. Recently, I decided to purchase again with a larger order. They shipped it to the wrong address, the city and zip code were wrong. As a result, the order was shipped back to hibiki-an as it was unreceivable. I created a paypal dispute for the item not received. The paypal dispute was closed in their favor as the item was still in transit back to hibikia. While I was disputing them, hibiki wrote me multiple emails threatening to call the local police and sue me unless I stopped the dispute, but I ignored them. After the dispute closed, hibiki is not replying to any of my emails and they got their product back. So I'm out $550, but i'm going to continue to try to dispute with paypal as they now have the order back.

Long term purchaser! 20 years plus. Having tried other brands, especially Gyokuro and Matcha, Hibiki are in my opinion the best. Their tea ware also superb! The packaging and delivery are also excellent.

Package delivery was insanely fast! Especially coming from Ujitawara, Japan. Just less than 5 days (Bravo DHL)! Also, the cheapest shipping rate for a DHL carrier! compared to other Japanese store sites. Not to mention they package with care. Very informative site and they respond to email quickly. Their products and especially their Matchas are of high quality both in color (Vibrant green) and taste (Rich/bold/sweet aftertaste). Very fair pricing as well compared to other matchas sold here in the USA.

Worst Japanese tea seller ever.
Been a customer for many years. Every spring I check out fresh teas from a number of Japanese sellers, amongst them Hibiki An.
This year I didn't get my order and it turns out it was send to a wrong address - however that happened...
I contacted them many, many times over a few weeks and most of the time received what seemed like an automated (robot?) answer 'your order has been successfully delivered, thank you for your service..."
well, not to me at least....finally somebody answered to my friendly and factual mails by saying they ALWAYS answer directly NEVER thru a robot or automated system...??? And as He coud see that my order was delivered everything was ok. It was like talking to a wall....long story short, nver received my order, lost all my money and received NO customer service AT ALL! This is not what I normally experience from other Japanese tea sellers like Zencha.net for example. drinking Japanese green tea is an almost spiritual custom where scamming your clients out of their money has no place...shame on you...
Think carefully when buying from...you might not believe me but it could happen to you too...better to look elsewhere...

Amazing japanese tea, candy and confectiary. They also have lots of limited seasonal tea that you usually jsut get in Japan.
