Perfect Mini Mince Pies as Usual
Came second in my husband and my taste test against local mini-mince pies. Our local chef at Gourmet Affair makes his mince mix early in the year and adds a strongly flavoured alchohol and no sugar, because the dried fruit in his mix add enough sweetness. He also just has a lattice top on his pies, so the flavour of his mince dominates more than the pastry. Gourmet Affair, Springett's Arcade, Bowral, New South Wales, Australia.
