Went on a Highland Kings bespoke 3 day 50mile run with a great group of mates. I have to say his team had their work cut out for them logistically, but made it all look so easy. The thought and attention to detail was exceptional.
Stunning wilderness campsite with luxury bell tents for everyone, delicious food and the right type when you need lots of energy each day. Great camaraderie with his team, nothing was too much effort and a great bunch of people, friendly, fun and professional.
Excellent organisation, from start to finish, with photographers, chefs, a massage team, and runners we even had two highly qualified paramedics in case anyone had an issue... luckily the worst problem they had to deal with was a few ticks!
The route they crafted took us through amazing scenery into remote areas, with incredible views and trails.
From start to finish, top to bottom, I couldn't fault it and given the remote location and obvious challenges that is some compliment!

Absolutely awesome! Joined a bespoke 3-day event for a good friend's 50th. Highland Kings did an exceptional job: smooth logistics (enabled me to cycle while others ran andwalked), stunning routes, outstanding food / camping (and massage!). Most of all Matt has put together an outstanding Team - nothing was too much trouble - super-friendly. Would give 6 stars if I could!

Great leadership and organisation throughout.

Starting with the pre race information, it was sent out early with clear and concise instructions on what I needed to do in order to get to the start line ready to give this challenge a go.

On arrival at the start it was clear this was a well organized and professional event, a friendly buzz of anticipation with plenty of tasty snacks and coffee helped settle some of the nerves whilst the race director gave a detailed race brief to all the runners.

The route was fantastic and contained a bit of everything, some big hills, technical paths and some flatter running along Glencoe under some of the the most pisturesque mountains in the UK. The checkpoints were really well stocked and the staff were only too keen to help out with a friendly pat on the back!

The route was fully marked wayout so navigation was simple and a case of just looking for the next tag. The finish was excellent with a piper helping guide you home as you limp across the line after a challenging day.

Overall it was a superb event, a great day. I would 100 percent recommend!

Fantastic experience! The Highland Kings team go above and beyond when it comes to looking after athletes in the field. Whether you are a novice or experienced ultra athlete, HKs will cater for all your needs.

Highland Kings was one of the best events I have attended in a long time.

The people, location, route and professionalism were all top class.

I juggle family life, long work hours with an ambition to complete in endurance races. For the last 5 years it had become harder for me to attain the goals in races I had wanted to achieve. The buildup to the highland kings and lessons learnt through the event were hugely informative for me, not just for the race itself but for afterwards as well. Learning more about nutrition, habit formations, my metabolic type and how to counter balance training has resulted in me being a better athlete and having better family / work / exercise balance.

The event itself was incredible in terms of an experience. The staff were ultra professional and setup of the camps exceeded my high expectations.

The standout memory for me was just how hard the racing was in terms of terrain. But this said the recovery at camp was bonkers and allowed me each day to race at the best of my ability. I was able to maximise my potential each day which I have never been able to do in stage racing before.

HK was a truly unique experience.

In 2022 I was among the first group of competitors for the HIGHLAND KING.
Being 63 years of age I was not sure I would be able to finish. But, being managed for 6 months by the experts of HIGHLAND KING I was ready for it:120 miles in 4 days.
It was the greatest adventure in my life,
absolutely incredible in terms of support, friendship, atmosphere and singularity.
You do it once in Your life, but You will never forget it .

Highland Kings can be summarised quite simply as 'attention to detail in everything'.
Nothing left to chance - not even the coffee :)
Very highly recommended as a life experience, if you get the opportunity, take it!

As a business man and ultra runner I wanted to combine, both the wilds of Scotland with a little bit more luxury that business success as given me, just one word ‘Amazing’ Matt and his team hit all the right notes. Successful and want to expand your horizons? Just do it. Gary
