I have had a good experience with Hills Lettings. Their team is professional, responsive, and consistently responsible in managing my property so far. Especially during the time I was abroad, they kept in touch with me via WhatsApp, regularly sharing updates, progress, and photos throughout the renting process. I am happy to recommend their services to other landlords.

Hill lettings have been managing my property since July and the experience has been amazing. I was able to get a good deal on signing up for one years management as a new customer and their service has not disappointed, so much that I intend to stay with them for the long run. They are easy to communicate with and have a portal which is simple to use. I cannot fault them at all!

I contacted them for a viewing of a rental property through openrent. They reminded me of the viewing twice, which is good. Nobody met me for the viewing and when I contacted the agent through openrent it took 40min for them to respond, by which time I was nearly home.

As a first time landlord, Simon has been great. We were able to get the property photographed, listed and leased within 5 days. We got above asking, and Simon made the process very easy. The whole team were great. We have had some issues with the Tenants, but this isn't something Hills can prevent, however until the point Hills have helped manage them effectively.

I am genuinely excited to give a big thumbs up to Hills Lettings. I have always felt there is space in the property management business for a company to do it really well and I finally seem to have found that company. They are not looking for the next way to get more money from customers and they do a great job of managing the property. Thank you!

I am a first time landlord, and was looking to arrange to rent my own flat out to a trustworthy tenant. As it was my first time I compared all the different costs charged by the normal high street agents and discovered how expensive this was.

Hills lettings not only massively undercut them and made this an affordable venture for me, but have given the individual and personal touch lacking at the national and even local estate agents.

From the get-go they have been massively helpful in guiding me through the process and answering all questions (and anticipating others) but they were able to process the rental application and tenant checks in rapid time - I think I broke a record from the point of showing the flat to the Tenants for the first time, and their request to move in barely a week later! (I have only just recovered from the effort!)

Throughout that period (just before xmas) they were there for me every step of the way and I cannot stress enough how good they were.

Whilst tenants need to find the flat to live in, prospective landlords need to find a good tenant, have the checks done quickly and efficiently and not overpay for the service. Because Hills lettings are independent, they dont carry the costs of their other departments or less successful branches, so can offer amazing value to the landlord.

I 100% suggest checking them out.

I paid £xxx a month for a year to Hills Lettings. When I left, the property was in a much cleaner condition than when I moved in. I asked them to acknowledge normal wear and tear, but their response was, “For the length of time you were there we wouldn’t consider £150 to be a large amount. It won’t cover the repairs, but is a contribution towards it.”

They also said, “The rent you paid is irrelevant, this was the market value for the flat and you benefitted from living there.”

This attitude shows a lack of fairness and respect toward tenants. Future tenants should be cautious and keep detailed records from move-in to move-out.

We completely understand your role as an agent, but your response leaves out key facts. The property was not in good condition when we moved in — it was dusty, full of cobwebs, and poorly ventilated despite our early complaints. We took great care of the place and even helped with viewings for new tenants during our own working hours.

The deduction was not a fair reflection of the condition we left the property in. We only agreed to it to avoid further back-and-forth, not because we accepted your claims. This experience felt unfair and one-sided, which is why we stand by our review.

As a landlord they are always on hand to help and give great advice throughout the process leading up to the letting and their service throughout the letting has been extremely proactive when issues with the property have arisen.

Simon and the team have been great. Simon is very responsive and knowledgeable and his fees are good too. Would definitely recommend hills lettings to anyone considering renting out their flat. This was my first time having to rent out my flat and the process was much better thanks to the hills team.
