We had a hassle free trip using Hillwalk Tours. We chose the 10 day West Highland Way tour, it was a good walk on most days but we were lucky with fantastic weather, so all scenic views were at their best. The 10 day option meant 8 days of walking, some days were quite long but of course that depends on how fast you walk!! It would have been so very different without the sunshine!! All the accommodation was of a very good standard, breakfasts were good too. The information pack that we received was helpful, maps, instructions, suggestions for restaurants etc. We booked some dinners in advance and that worked well - no need to worry about where to go for dinner!! Would happily recommend Hillwalk Tours and will more than likely be using them again sometime.

Our Hillwalk Tour (Great Glen Way in Scotland) was perfect, right down to the weather. We did not think it possible to travel for 10 days in Scotland without any rain, but we did. Hillwalk offered the destination we were interested in and the ability to customize the tour to the level of challenge, the particular number of days, and exact days we wanted. The accommodations were varied (some very contemporary, others historic) and all were clean, comfortable, conveniently located, had many amenities and terrific attention to detail. Without a doubt, luggage transfer was what made it possible to do this trip. Hillwalk skillfully managed details of luggage, accommodation, maps, sites of interest, restaurant recommendations, and everything else...though probably not the weather. We hope to take another Hillwalk Tour in the future.

My friend Christine and I picked the Beara Peninsula for our first walk last June to avoid the crowds - and we were successful, not seeing anyone (only sheep) on the trail for two days straight! The views were good and the B&Bs along the way on our 4-day walk were quite welcome, especially Windy Point, I'd love to do another walk with Hillwalk Tours because all of the materials sent ahead of time and directions, plus the B&B bookings were perfect!

I booked a six day Burren Way tour with an extra day in Doolin to see the Aran Islands. The tour was impecabbly run, walking directions so good I never felt unsafe as a solo female walker, and B&B hosts incredibly accomodating. For example, when I arrived in Carran the only restaurant in town was closed for the season. Hillwalk Tours and my host at the Magouhy House arranged for the restaurant to open for one night just for me and two other walkers! The scenery and walking routes were all gorgeous (lots of rolling hills) and every path was lined with ripe blackberries. Amazing experience and great company!
