Thousands spent on unusable furniture!!

I want to start by saying I don't write reviews lightly — but after three years of frustration and a recent interaction that left me speechless, I feel compelled to share my experience with Neighbor's Haven Teak collection.

We purchased in 2022 with high hopes. The delivery had a rocky start when we received a broken table, though to Neighbor's credit, they replaced it promptly. That goodwill, unfortunately, didn't last.

By 2023, the teak had developed mold and the cushions mildew — despite following the care instructions to the letter. We sourced specialty cleaners and managed to address it, but this is now a ritual we repeat three times a year. That is not the maintenance burden I signed up for when investing in premium outdoor furniture.

But the real dealbreaker? The cushions simply do not stay in place. I mean that literally. A shift in weight, a sneeze, a light breeze — and the cushion you're sitting on begins pulling away from its ties. What should be a relaxing outdoor retreat has become a constant, maddening adjustment. The furniture looks beautiful and functions terribly.

In 2025, I finally contacted Neighbor directly. To their credit, they acknowledged the armrest cushions fell under warranty and replaced those at no charge — a genuine bright spot. But the resolution for the remaining cushions? They informed me the design had been overhauled because enough customers complained about the same dysfunction I experienced. That admission alone says everything.

Here's where I lose all patience: after spending thousands of dollars on furniture that has never truly worked as intended, I was presented with an invoice for nearly $4,000 to replace the redesigned cushions. Not as a goodwill gesture. As a solution.

For a brand positioning itself as a premium outdoor furniture company, this response is tone-deaf and deeply disappointing. You don't get to quietly redesign a flawed product and then charge loyal customers — who already bought the broken version — to fix the problem you created.

To anyone considering the Haven Teak collection: please learn from my experience. Save your money and choose a brand with a proven track record. I wish I had.

Dramatically late, terribly unresponsive service

We ordered furniture that is now 4 weeks past the delivery deadline and have contacted the company (called and texted the customer service line) and have received zero follow up. This company is clearly over extended on sales and not adequately oriented on actual delivery of customer product and experience. I’d highly discourage purchasing based on our experience.
