Hinge Health is a program many employers offer to their employees. There is no cost for the employees to use it, but if you have any pain and are offered Hinge Health I would strongly suggest giving it a try. I was having a horrible time dealing with sciatica and related leg pain, and tried physical therapy and a steroid injection. Neither worked. When I was offered Hinge Health I thought "this will never work" but agreed to try it anyway. After two weeks of using the program 5 times a week, I had considerable pain relief. Simple, guided stretches are accessed through an app. You can do them anytime you choose and won't even break a sweat. Remember, these are movements designed to deal with musculoskeletal pain, not cardio work, so they are easy to do and only take about 15 minutes. If pain persists you can get a free Enso, Hinge Health's version of a TENS unit. The Enso worked on my trigger finger, allowing me to avoid surgery. I know there are a lot of phony claims on the Internet, but this one is legitimate, and it won't cost you anything. Hinge Health has been a game-changer for me, life without pain is possible!

I’ve been using Hinge Health for over 4 years now. I went from making old man noises when picking things up to now easily move pain-free. The app is certainly a key point in the program but remember you also have access to a coach and PT. There have been a number of changes in the app over the years but it remains user-focused.

Super easy to do the exercises - does not matter how "fit" you are. Start where you are at. Small steps equal big results. Over about a year and a half, I went from having hip and knee pain daily to virtually being pain free. Only takes 15-20 minutes a day for amazing results.

I am pleased with this program.
People think Hingehealth charges us a lot. No! No! No! It's free!!
Go through with my employer.
The employee(me) won't pay anything!
All equipment for the exercise program will be sent to you. You can talk with a Physical Therapist to arrange your own exercise program.
I started to do my exercise program to prevent injury. I have been doing very well at work and in daily movement.
Actually, it's improved!
I know that joining the Hingehealth program is worth it!!

Life-Changing Support for Pain Relief and Mobility!
Hinge Health has truly transformed my life. As someone who’s dealt with chronic pain in my hip, knee, and now hands due to carpal tunnel, I can confidently say this program is a game-changer. The app makes it incredibly easy to do guided exercises anywhere—whether I’m at home or on the go in the Colorado mountains. My personalized care plan is always accessible, and the exercises are simple yet effective.
What sets Hinge Health apart is the human touch. My health coach regularly checks in, encourages me, and helps me stay motivated. The support feels genuine and consistent, and I’ve never felt alone in my journey to better health.
Since starting, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in pain and a big improvement in my mobility. I can move more freely, work more comfortably, and enjoy life with less discomfort. I am back to the hike I love and strength training!
The fact that this benefit is offered through my employer (Lumen) at no cost makes it even more incredible.
If you're struggling with musculoskeletal pain and want a convenient, supportive, and effective solution, Hinge Health is it!

I have been using the Hinge Health app for almost 1 year. To date, I have completed 576 exercise sessions, have met virtually with my PT and Health coach regularly (to ensure progress and realistic goals), and have seen considerable improvement in my pain, confidence, mindset, flexibility, and mobility.
One must put the effort in to complete the daily exercises that take less than 15 minutes or so, otherwise everything else is provided. The app has reminders, various features, and the program is personalized to me.
If there's ever a question or issue, help is available through care team or a quick note to support with fast response.
Grateful for this program and the progress made to enhance the quality of my life✨️

I have been using Hinge Health for a couple years now and the exercises and Enso device have helped my lower back pain tremendously. So happy that my work uses them for a wellness program.

Very happy with this program. It’s encouraging. The health coach and physical therapists are responsive to my questions. After completing certain units of exercise they will send you exercise equipment that arrives very quickly. It’s super convenient. Most importantly, my symptoms have improved! Give it a try in earnest. I’m surprised at the negative reviews. Maybe they haven’t really tried the program and are grumpy from pain?

It has helped a lot with my back..
In order for it to you you need to first take it seriously, 2nd you need to actually use it for a little while
I see no point it opening the box just saying it won’t work then come here and give a bad review, use it a few times along with the exercises made for you
Then give it a review after you have really gave it a shot

Hinge Health has been instrumental in helping me overcome my back pain. Not only does the app and my health coach help me stay on track every day, but I can also use Enso on days that the pain is extremely bad.

Deceptive, Frustrating, and Unprofessional – Avoid Hinge Health
Hinge Health is one of the most deceptive companies I have ever dealt with. My spouse’s employer offers their program through our insurance, and I received an email promising that their “Enzo device” would eliminate chronic pain. The email highlighted this device as free when signing up for the program.
That turned out to be misleading. The device is not free—it’s billed to insurance along with the program. Still, I signed up, answered all their questions, and even provided an eligibility code from my insurance. A few hours later, I received another email saying I wasn’t eligible and had to repeat the entire process. After frustrating calls with representatives overseas who struggled with English, my application was finally approved.
Then came more hoops: downloading their app, answering more questions, and doing pointless “calibration” exercises. Finally, I was assigned a physical therapist. At this point, I was supposed to receive the Enzo device—the very reason I signed up. Instead, I was told I would only get the device after completing 10 sessions in their app. This was never disclosed upfront.
When I called to cancel, things went from bad to worse. The overseas rep said she couldn’t cancel because it was part of my spouse’s employer benefits. I insisted, and was transferred to someone in San Francisco who was shockingly rude and dismissive. She accused me of being “angry,” told me she wouldn’t argue, and hung up on me.
This entire experience was exhausting, misleading, and stressful. Their advertising paints Hinge Health as a compassionate, pain-relief solution. In reality, it’s full of hidden conditions, unhelpful customer service, and deceptive tactics.
My advice: if you get an email from Hinge Health, mark it as spam and delete it. Do not entrust your health to this company.

SORRY ABOUT THIS, BUT WE ARENT A GOOD FIT...
They hassle you to sign up, offering a free massage gun. So I spent a lot of time downloading the app, answering their stupid questions for them to say "We cant help you"
WHAT A FREAKING JOKE!!

The moment you sign up, they will start charging your insurance. I uploaded app and deleted the same day, all exercises were primitive. The only thing I didn’t know that I was charged all this time $331 per month, and I haven’t received a single consultation. Such a scam, how is it even legal. Stay away from this shady business.

Joined Hinge Health which is covered through my insurance. I was told after 10 sessions I would be able to order the enso device. After 10 sessions I was prompted to order my device and then it was declined. I called and was told that my insurance would not cover. I told them that I wasted my time completing 10 sessions and not receiving the equipment that was promised! Beware just trying to get people to sign up and charge insurance!

Application is not good. Phone needs to be on floor across the room from user. User often cannot view their performance or how to do the exercise. App does not give user time to get in position before starting and it skips reps. Gives exercises that are too difficult causing falls. When user reports that an exercise is too difficult, program is not adjusted.

App offered exercises that caused worse back pain. It's been a month now and I have trouble sleeping because of the pain.
Edit: must have struck a nerve, because Trustpilot said they want my contact information to "better understand" my problem

Unfortunately it's time for me to say goodbye, because my employer no longer has a partnership with Hinge Health. If your employer does have a partnership with Hinge Health, then join the program, because you will be doing yourself and your wellness a favor. I was on the program for 5 yrs and had amazing knee pain relief. Between the program and my amazing coach Jessica no more knee pain. Jessica is great coach that kept me accountable by checking in and making sure I was okay. The only downside to the program, in my opinion is that it is not open to the public. Thank you for the BEST 5 years of my wellness life! Lorraine

I've been using Hinge Health since January. It has been a wonderful experience for me, I started the physical therapy for pelvic floor.
My PTherapist is very communicative, the Health Coach has been helping me reaching my goals, I've noticed a big difference in even if the therapy doesn't feel painful. Which I've learned is working those muscles in a subtle way.
It has been a great experience.

I was having back spasms to the point that I could hardly walk. I had to use a walking stick to help me move around safely, and felt like I was 100 years old. I found out about Hinge through my employer. I was told it would be free to me, and would only take about 10 minutes a day, so I decided to give it a shot. What did I have to lose?
At first I thought it was going to be a waste of time. The exercises and stretches seemed too simple to be effective. But I preserved. By my second week, the spasms had reduced by 50%, and I was learning why the small movements worked. Plus you can send messages to your physical therapist or health coach, and they actually respond to you.
After four weeks, the spasms were gone and I could actually move around without a walking stick. I couldn’t believe that 10 minutes of super easy stretches a day actually worked, and I didn’t even have to leave my house!
Since starting, they’ve added in other sessions that I can choose to do. Like the 5 minute “Office Stretch”, or the 7 minute “Core Strengthening” sessions. I also love that I can revisit any of the previous sessions that I’ve already done.
I highly recommend this program. It’s absolutely fantastic!
