400 vip box ,spoilt by taking one photo…treated like criminals over one mistake if taking a photo !!!!
400 vip box ,spoilt by taking one photo & chipped glasses returned half hr later & stared .
filled out a review adding my complaint of treatment towards us on Wed 13th Nov 19 .
I am filing a complaint as I want it to be acknowledged in a correct manner !!
I will cover the complaint now .
The 4 of us booked tickets for box A ,with champagne experience .
When we arrived at side door for disabled with a man in wheelchair & a 32 year old girl with brain damage and breathing difficulties ,the staff were very helpful ,assisting up lift and taking us to box .we were served by a lovely girl with snacks ,glasses of prosseco and snacks
.When the show started we took a photo of the box and our accompanying guests .
Then the horrible traumatic experience happened .the male staff member approached me to say no photos and stood over me to ask me to delete photos .
i said i wouldn't take any more photos and would delete. But he stops over me in an intimidating manner .i said this is an invasion of my privacy and please leave us to enjoy the show that we paid £400 for !!!
With that he said he'd get the manager .well he brought along a security guard ( who i believed to be a manager ) he demanded that i leave the box on several occasions,i refused to leave as was with two disabled people and paid good money to watch the show ,and to leave is alone .
The security guard was very intimidating over one mistake !!! .
This didn't end at this .we picked up one of our glasses and it had a chunk out of stem ,which was very dangerous .
The female staff member continued to stare at us opposite .
This was also very intimidating
.So we put 2 complaints in about the glass and the member of staff staring at us in an intimidating manner .
Half hour later we had the glass returned to us with the same amount of drink ( obviously poured back in to another glass -
why weren't we given a replacement drink when we could have cut our hands on the stem of glass ??)
We didn't drink the drink as we obviously ,as we realised this whole matter had turned very petty ,nasty and very personal Over one mistake of taking one photo of the girl we were looking after wanting her photo taken ?!
This whole experience escalated .when I went to the toilet ,the security guard was sitting outside .We asked if he was a manager ? And he was clearly a bully of a bouncer /security guard ,not a manager ??!! .
I told him that he spoilt the whole evening over one photo .sarah the disabled girl who
Was very upset and confused why they had spoilt her evening show over one photo !!.
When we were leaving a lovely lady customer came over to us and apologised about what she witnessed us going through ! And all the people near by were all disturbed too
.A drunk lady came by us and said the elderly man next to us “thanks for spoiling my night” ( that could have just been told not to take any more photos and that be the end of it !!!
we were treated like criminals over one photo !!
When we left it was hammering down of rain & Jo the other carer with us wanted a cigarette out of the rain ,so took it out to get ready to light and was pounced on by a female security guard ,with that she moved in to the rain.
There was a promotions guy standing with an umbrella received a call to say in hear shot of us that we were trouble makers .This guy was made to feel very uncomfortable whenJo my friend had moved out the way ( problem solved ) .
The whole evening was ruined .we will never return to Hippodrome whilst that horrible man( security guard /bully /bouncer ) is employed and your staff member !!
!we wasted £400 nearly .
We will continue to tell friends, people we meet about the whole experience as it was despicable and unnecessary !!
