This is not necessarily a criticism of Hired.com

This is not necessarily a criticism of Hired.com directly however this has been my experience. Each time I get an interview request, I respond immediately and then never hear back from the potential interviewer/company. It would be nice if Hired had some mechanism that would prevent recruiters be they internal or external from doing this.

Hey Christopher. Thank you for your feedback! And sorry to hear about your negative experience. If you accept an interview request and the employer does not move to schedule an interview despite you having added your availability to your Hired Calendar, follow up with your Hired representative or myself at support@hired.com and let us know. We can ping the Hired Account Manager for said company and try to get the ball rolling that way.

avoid! broken code "assessments" are a scam

Broken code "assessments" are a scam.
Hired.com knows their programming tests are broken and gives false negatives to gaslight you into taking a bad offer, so they get paid and employers get to pay you less than you're actually worth. I reported several broken tests and received no response from Hired.com. I know others have reported broken tests as well and also were ignored. Now I could understand one broken test, but the number of confirmed false negatives on the "assessments" makes this look intentional or negligent at best. This does not have anything to do with my browser or connection, since I used the exact same browser, OS, and connection type every time, and was able to pass an assessment in spite of several broken tests. I have many years of professional experience identifying defects of a much more elusive nature, so this looks especially egregious considering that representing inaccurate assessments of candidates skills could form the basis of a class action lawsuit for job seekers who were knowingly misrepresented by Hired.com with artificially low assessment scores.

Hi Thomas. Sorry to hear about your negative experience. It is not our intention. If you are experiencing an issue with a particular assessment, we certainly want to correct. It's possible your previous outreach simply fell through the cracks. Please relay said issue to me at nathaniel@hired.com along with any screenshots of the issue you can share and I will have our engineering team investigate. Regarding lower than expected scores, please know that no score below 80% is ever displayed on a candidate's profile. Additionally, if they score 80% or higher but are still unhappy with their score or feel said score does not represent their abilities, they may opt to keep it hidden.

Hey Seth! Sorry to hear about your negative experience. If an employer scheduled an interview but then did not attend, definitely follow up with them to ask about it. Visit Interviews>Company name and leave a message in the Conversation (we send them an email notification with the same message when you do so it cannot be missed). Let them know they missed the interview they scheduled and ask if they need to reschedule. Then, keep your Calendar open with your availability so they can pick a new date/time. I would expect them to get back to you!

Used Hired to get a job!

I was able to get an exciting job offer as a candidate on Hired. It opened me up to companies I had never heard of, and enabled me to find a perfect match. Every interview I set up on Hired was interesting and was a great way for me to be thorough in my job search. Thank you Hired, because of you I start my new job in two weeks!

Mostly good. Needs some better filtering and review.

I do hope that at some point I will get an email that does not require tech knowledge that I do not have. Or the requirement for a collage degree. Other than that, Hired seems like a good thing.

Hi Ray, and thank you for your review! We understand the frustration regarding mismatched technical skills. The good news is our Product Team is actively working on making the Wishlist section of your profile more apparent to our companies. It will not act as a filter per se, but if you list certain tech stack, the changes will in theory stop some companies from reaching out if their own do not match (mismatch will display when they go to send the request). While not available just yet, it is in the pipeline. Again, thank you very much for your feedback!

The opportunities coming across my desk…

The opportunities coming across my desk are great, and represent a nice variety of large and small scale employers. Functionally the platform works really well, and the interface is intuitive. The Candidate Experience Managers I have interacted with have been very pleasant and helpful. Five stars on all these fronts.

However, I find myself answering a lot of the same questions and performing repetitive tasks while handling interview requests much of which happens outside of the Hired platform. I understand this is not directly your fault, but rather a reflection of the hiring process as whole. I don't have a lot of spare time due in part to my current job, so anything that could be done to minimize the need for my immediate input would go a long way in making this platform a useful tool rather than a chore.

Ironically this very review is one of the aforementioned distractions I could live without.
