They have held my funds hostage!

They have held my funds hostage since the moment I deposited. I deposited DOGE coin in May of 2021. After depositing, they allowed me to fill out the rest of my profile and informed me that I can not use their exchange because I am a US citizen. They told me I needed to withdraw everything. However, they also took DOGE offline so it can not be withdrawn. Until this day, I have not been able to withdraw, and my money dwindled with nothing I could do about it. I've sent in many complaints and only get the same cookie-cutter reply, that they are "working on the problem". It has been 20 months!!!

Revenue held for Ransom.

I tried to withdraw revenue during the holidays finding out HitBTC Customer service asked me for 20% Ransom upfront for my entire DApp balance to be sent to an unknown address if I wanted to withdraw ASAP. Little do they know, they asked for ransom and held my entire revenue hostage. Agent tells me 5,000 withdrawal requests are ahead of me and they can provide only 5 withdrawals per day. DO THE MATH!

Scam app

Stay away from this app. It is a scam! Woke up one money and my money is gone!
Submitted ticket already and was told account was inactive, hence the reason for the thievery. From today onwards I will tell everyone I encouraged to use this app to close it down as they will steal their money the same way they did mine.

NOT YOUR COINS NOT YOUR CRYPTO!

HitBTC is the most unscrupulous, dangerous Crypto exchange out there. Way back in 2018, I foolishly transferred ABTC and CRPT tokens to this exchange, hoping that I may be able to sell at a reasonable price one day. Not long after this the ABTC token was taken offline and, despite countless reassurances that it was being upgraded and would be back online soon, four years later my tokens are still stuck there. They are just a bunch of liars! Also, when I attempted to move my CRPT to a different exchange, the fees were so ludicrously high that it was not possible to withdraw them without depositing additional funds which, I was not prepared to do. So, I left them there hoping that one day, the price might rise enough to be able to withdraw them. Having no reason to return to the exchange until recently (simply to check my tokens were still there), not only is ABTC still offline but I also found that all of my CRPT tokens had been withdrawn and not by me. On querying this with them, I have been told that it is in lieu of charges for not trading for over six months (apparently hidden somewhere in the T&Cs small print) so they decide dthey would steal my CRPT tokens. Avoid this exchange like the plague as any token can be taken offline without notice and stuck there potentially forever. They can also clearly withdraw your crypto tokens without notice and at will without any opportunity for recourse. They will insist that this is in there T&Cs. However, this was not the case when I signed up and like most people, assume that the T&Cs I signed up to remain so. If there is a change to T&Cs they have an obligation and duty of care to inform all customers of the change. To not do so is downright dishonest and tantamount to fraud. Never was the statement , “NOT YOUR COINS NOT YOUR CRYPTO”, more true. Disgraceful behaviour! Note to HitBTC - screenshot available upon request.

Your stock response is a joke! You clearly have not read my review where I state that you have an obligation to inform customers of a change in terms!

scammers hitbtc

Damned scammers hitbtc! For all the time since 2017, sticks have been put in the wheels. This is the most negative experience with a crypto exchange! These freaks at the age of 21 requested the identification of the KUS, but this is normal, that's just the trouble, the Udo of Kazakhstan did not suit them and for them it was necessary to issue a passport! At the end of 22, I decided to go in and they broke me off! You know what? He says we do not believe that you are using the same device, enter the correct password the first time and 2fa blah! They say upload a selfie, confirm your passport and confirm where you got the money from, when and how you replenished the exchange! I wah, send a selfie and a photo of the passport, on which I added "only for HITBTTS" and say, so and so guys, everything is fine, that's what you ask for, except for transactions, because. 5 years have already passed, I xs what and how it was.

They send me a decal, they say the passport photo is not suitable, because. it is not clean and with some kind of inscription, because of this we will not be able to sell it later on the black market ahaha and do not forget to confirm the transactions! I say go to, I have the right to make an inscription on my dock that this is for you for your protection, which they send me again. A couple of weeks later, I remembered to f0ck how 5 years ago I replenished this s61t exchange and sent a letter. They unblocked my acc, everything about everything took several weeks. BUT! THIS is not all!

I go in and see some transactions, I write again to the support. I say what a crap, how is it that I have almost half and so not a lot of balance has disappeared, what x? It turns out that they unilaterally changed the rules, which were not reported, and now they charge 10 bucks a month for inactive accounts! They didn’t even bother to send an email that some transactions were taking place on the account or that the account had become inactive! Thanks for not 10 bucks a day! In short, sons of bitc4es, everything is done to ensure that you do not get your money, and they earn the maximum in the air. I'm sure that after a short time they will simply close and they will send all of them, having appropriated all the leftovers. Run from there while you can.

There’s a clause that means they take 10USD out your account per month if it’s inactive. I didn’t realise this, it’s sneaky and it’s not highlighted and I lost all my crypto. No notifications. Just robbery.
That’s HITBTCs standard reply. The clause came into effect recently and my money had been held by them since 2019. Suddenly it’s all gone!
Like most normal humans I don’t constantly check terms and conditions to look for changes.

I have been trying to do a withdrawal…

I have been trying to do a withdrawal and everytime, I am given some fee to pay. They refuse to deduct the fees from my balance stating that during withdrawal period, my balance is immovable. I am only withdrawing a few coins and have a decent balance. Very annoying as I have agree to making these payments but when it comes towithdrawal, there's some sort of fee that can't be deducted from my balance.

Hidden busd 4.5 dollar withdrawl fee…

Hidden busd 5.5 dollar withdrawl fee (normal fee is max 1 on other exchanges) for 10 busd deposit.
they have hidden monthly inactivity charges and you need to check whether certain tokens are even online or you'll deposit just to pay an inflated withdrawl fee. I to thought I was smarter then the negative reviews, trust me it's a cash grab.

I lost all the money in my account because of a hidden inactivity fee

I lost all the money in my account, all of it, due to a hidden HitBTC fee. The charge is US$10 per month if you have more than 6 months of inactivity. This charge can only be discovered in the terms and conditions, since it is not reported on the fees page (like other exchanges or investment platforms do).

Avoid HitBTC. Perhaps what other surprises it has for its users.

I lost my 2FA

I lost my 2FA. they refuse to unlock my account even with a valid ID.

This company is farming ID's and stealing funds. DO NOT TRUST THEM

edit: Even worse, since i wrote this review i am receiving crypto phishing emails. Never had them before It looks like they are sharing their customer information with hackers.

again

DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Update2: You send me instructions, i followed instructions and after i send in my ID you tell me it is not valid because it will expire soon. You have no authority to even validly ID's with my government. The HITBTC is just farming ID's for resell. Otherwise you would have unlocked my account with my valid id and lock the account when the ID expires.

UPDATE 3: And now i am even getting spam SMS: "You code:0EPTB290

Honey.
Coin-ProEx sincerely invites you to join the "Bitcoin" analysis group, participate in the investment plan, and earn 500-5K usd a day. Please click "Bitcoin Group " below to join" I never had any spam SMS before.

Their service is not good, Better go with other exchange

Their service is not good, they will take a lot of time to respond, even sometimes they don't respond to the customer's issue, My ticket was opened almost 9 months ago but still not resolved, Ticket#1405527.
Update:- 1
Requesting you again to respond to that service, because they need your reply, all the money was transferred to your master wallet, so you must respond to them, they have been waiting for several months for your response. Show your transparency towards customers.
10/18/2022- Update:-2
Hi please respond to them and they are waiting for your response, you should not hold other's funds.
10/24/2022- Update:-3
The way you are behaving towards customers is really bad, My money was sent to your master wallet, so you have to return them to me, you are keeping the customer's funds illegally, this is not the fair business you are doing.
11/08/2022: Update:-4
You are behaving irresponsibly to the laws and to the customers, Just return my money.

Beware!! Use another Crypto Exchange!!

I have been using HitBTC with no problems for 2 years, up until yesterday when I accidentally sent 227.1642 XRP from Binance to their exchange instead of cold storage. I left the destination tag/ memo blank so it did not appear in my account

I spoke to 2 advisors via email after creating a trouble ticket, who told me to retrieve my assets it would cost a $100 flat rate for the service. As the amount in question was just $10 below, they could not help.

This is my first time making this mistake and I am absolutely appalled with this fee they site is in their terms and service paragraph 17.5, which is not even stated.

After talking to Binance and Bitrue, if I would've made this error depositing to their sites, this could've been resolved for a max of $5.

Scam if a policy, plus slow and buggy app. I am now no longer going to use their exchange anymore, as this is what 2 years of loyalty gets you. My review will not change until I receive my assets back

The worst exchange

I can't give 0 stars but I really would like.
Stole our dogecoin. More than 17 months where it s impossible to withdrawal dogecoin... Everytime say that it s a technical problem but too long to found a solution is incompetence
The other solution they say is to change our doge in other cryptocurrencies but the value of doge on hitbtc is divided by 4-5 that the normal...
Escrow!!!
When they answer you they never want to found a solution with you.
The price is due to the impossibility to withdrawal Doge. Yes in this case the price is directly linked to the exchange. With the possibility to withdrawal Doge, the price would be different

Hello. Please keep in mind that when you trade on HitBTC, you don't purchase assets directly from the exchange, but from other traders who are put up their assets for sale — the maker-taker model. The prices are suggested by the sellers, not by the exchange.

I had DCN tokens that I considered a long-term investment. Without my knowledge of the stock market, he bought my tokens of 4527000. It was explained that I had not made a transaction for 6 months. I explained that I had no knowledge and that I would pay attention from now on. but they were very strict and did not help. While other exchanges give rewards for registration. this exchange cannot please the customers it has. Absolutely unreliable stock market.
