It’s a tight fit on the rail. It took some doing to get it to slide onto the rail, and I had to attach it to the rail and then screw the rail onto the bottom of the UMP. If you tried to slide it onto the UMP bottom rail with the rail already attached to the receiver, you would not have enough room on the end of the rail segment to slide it on, so keep that in mind.
