This is a must-have replacement item as the buffer will degrade and fall apart with use and age. Replacing the P9 buffer is the most common wear and replacement part on the P9 series of pistols. HK no longer makes or supports parts, service, or repairs for the P9 family of pistols, and the entire model and all parts for this pistol are entirely out of production.

Decent part, but EXCELLENT customer service! Received a buffer with a bubble in it, but a quick call to the customer support number had a replacement in the mail that day.

I own a HK P9S since the early 80's and never knew the handgun had a buffer. The pistol has been a safe queen for the most part, so if the buffer is defective I haven't hurt anything. I am installing the buffer this weekend and we will see if the videos are true about the difficulty of installing it.
