Five stars due to design, thread placement and the way it works to replace a standard thread protector. Would give four stars on the way it works as a comp, however it is a micro, so one should not expect great things from it. It does not make the gun any louder. The threads are so well done that when fully tightened, one of the ports lines up perfectly with being too facing which is essential to work as a comp. Has a o-ring as well to help keep ot secure. Coating like anything HK, is phenomenal. Very well made piece but it is micro so don't expect huge results but it does do some. It is very easy to take off as well compared to a standard thread protector, so hands down I would pick this any day instead.
