The thread protector is clearly a precision made part that matches the gun well. Unless you have a suppressor or muzzle break, this makes the gun look finished instead of having bare threads at the end of the barrel. HK doesn't make junk.

It's a perfect fit. I gave it a three on value for money, and that seems generous, because it seems like everyone but HK includes one of these when you buy a threaded barrel. I'm generally a big HK fan, but making people buy this separately when they buy a threaded barrel is a little much
