Office is a joke, warehouse manager thinks hes god

Delivery driver.
People there don't care.(they programmed)
I got strong work ethic.
Some of them tried put blame on the others.
Its not miscommunication, its lack of taking responsibility.
I do understand customers saying that drivers behave badly.
So I needed to go.
And this is light version

Saturday delivery

Hi Team,

We had an issue with the delivery on Friday, as the large gym equipment could not be delivered due to its size. However, the Gloucester depot quickly stepped in and arranged for a driver to complete two runs on Saturday.

I’d like to express my appreciation to everyone involved for the extra effort and teamwork to ensure the delivery was successfully completed. Your support and responsiveness were greatly valued.

I recently had a delivery handled by HM…

I recently had a delivery handled by HM Distribution on behalf of Palletways, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.

Upon arrival, the driver informed me that I would need to unload the pallet myself because it had been loaded in such a way that he could not get his pallet truck onto it. I was told that “no one pays him to unload it,” and was left to remove the goods myself while he stood by. This situation arose due to how the pallet had been loaded, which was clearly not my responsibility as the receiving business.

After the goods were removed, the pallet was left at the roadside with the comment “your pallet, your problem,” creating an unnecessary issue for us to deal with.

Following the incident, I raised a complaint and was later informed that I had allegedly been aggressive and thrown the pallet — both of which are categorically untrue. We have CCTV coverage of the delivery area.

I understand that pallet disposal policies may vary, but the issue here was the professionalism and handling of the situation. Clear communication and basic courtesy would have avoided this entirely.

Very disappointing experience.

H & M Distribution cost me £42 today

H & M Distribution cost me £42 today, all because the delivery driver was too bone-idle to get out of his cab, walk 6 metres and ring my front door bell. Instead, he telephoned our cell phone twice, but because nobody picked up (we do not answer unidentifiable numbers), he just drove off.
H & M Distribution were delivering on behalf of Firewood Company. This company also received a 1 star rating from me today too for their appalling customer service.
I would recommend that H & M reprimand the driver who was delivering in Letchworth at 11:30 on 28th January 2026 and as they can trace my address, consider paying me the £42 I have lost!

Not surprised to see the score…

Not surprised you have 2.6 score with the drivers you employ! Slow when they need to get moving and blocking the roads especially outside a school and fast driving like lunatics on the way out. A lorry like that needs to be driven carefully especially around schools and on 20mph residential roads. Driver also rude with rude gestures once confronted.

Total Nightmare and cannot collect items that weigh 120kg

Three days wasted for collection of a 120Kg item. The company who it was being returned to booked the collection for a pallet and wrap to be provided and as it be legally required straps to secure the pallet on the vehicle. Turned up with no pallet and no wrap, then next day the item was inside my house as the weather was bad and it was outside the previous day so they would not even show up as I needed help to get it on the pallet. After allowing the company who booked this collection one more chance to solve the problem I waited in all day with the large expensive item on my drive only to be told they have no pallet or wrap and never use straps. I would avoid using this company as they cannot even do the basics and clearly break the law not carrying straps.

Shambolic company

Terrible experience. Delivery booked in but complete no show with no contact. Tried TEN TIMES to call customer support, but always just went to answerphone. Shambolic company.

Avoid at all costs.

Phones me to tell me they were delivering the following day, booked the day off work, no package arrived so rang the office and a very rude woman on the other end. Terrible company and customer service.

Delivery of very heavy gearbox

I needed to get the gearbox into the back of my vehicle but I don't have the strength due to arthritis. The delivery guy was more than helpful and somehow managed it by himself. I would have been in a very difficult situation had he not been so kind and ingenious.Not many would have made the effort. Many thanks good guy.!

H&M Distribution service terrible

Palletways/H&M Distribution - very poor service.
Haulage firm Palletways/H&M appears to have created the chaos with my paid-for order for boiler wood pellets. This was not to do with general UK driver shortages.
In all I have made so far 33 phone calls and sent one precise email to the pellet seller, Premier Fuel, to sort it out and this is so far unresolved.
Ist H&M delivery date, my choice of 8 October 2021 - postponed by text by H&M St Neots depot without consulting me; 2nd date - due times guaranteed on phone then ignored, my slot shunted down lorry's schedule to serve business first. So no pellets delivered by 5pm (cut off point); 3rd date - 12pm due time, 15 October, definite agreement as compensation by PF and PW/H&M and noted electronically by depot, missed. Lorry came mid afternoon (which would have meant my offloading, one by one, most of the 65 15kg bags in darkness from unlit road).
* And then delivery turned out to be very badly stacked lopsided pallet – not of boiler pellets but bags of horse bedding (some split and taped over too).*
My address label was on the stack but who attached it or at what point in transit is unknown to me – at present.
The driver had to dismantle the collapsing pallet of a tonne of bagged horse bedding in order to reload it safely back on the lorry.
The H&M depot call handler (who admitted changing my dates herself) was impatient, cut me off at least once and was no friend to the customer. Premier Fuel is inaccessible by phone to public at least 5 days in 7-day week though one staffer I spoke to was sympathetic.
