What an experience! We decided to book a trip to South Africa after various friends told us about this fabulous country.
Our work-life balance is highly hectic, so looking into and planning a trip to suit our needs in an unfamiliar country seemed daunting.
Fear not, Travel exclusively Africa took the rains, listened to our expectations, dreams and needs, put it all together meticulously and came back not only with a mind-blowing doable itinerary but at a cost that didn't break the bank or dream.
Beverley and Ian gave us the trip of a lifetime, covering every tiny detail, from hotel ratings to food recommendations. Amazing tours of the areas hosted by knowledgeable people only added to the enjoyment of your day. My husband played some fantastic golf courses while I visited a township tour and learnt the real history of SA life. I slumbered in some of the most fabulous spa facilities and sampled the pure luxury of the local cuisine whilst being looked after by the friendliest hospitality
professionals I have ever met.
Of course, the ultimate was our four-day Safari. Words cannot express the experiences and memories made on this trip. The South African whisperer is a fitting title we have given to this fantastic husband and wife team. They are conscious of making your trip the best yet. This is so visible with their precise arrangements made on your behalf and their pure passion for this beautiful country. If you are considering a quote from this company, my advice would be to tell them about your budget, hopes, and dreams. Sit back and wait for the quote. Book it, pack it, and get on the plane. The rest is taken care of for you. Sit back and enjoy the ride!

My husband & I travelled to Cape Town and along the garden route finishing with a safari at Kariega.
Beverly had been recommended to us by some other friends and she definitely lived up to expectations: everything went very smoothly, the itinerary was well balanced and fitted in everything we liked. The hotels/guest houses selected were absolutely lovely and it couldn’t have gone better! Beverly was super knowledgeable and had lots of information to send us about all the different places we were visiting so we felt prepared.

We returned from a fantastic trip to CapeTown, Kruger & Victoria Falls in August 2024. We booked our own tours & activities, while Travel Exclusively African (Ian) booked our accommodations, domestic flights, & transfers. The portion handled by Ian went smoothly; transfers were on-time, and drivers were professional. We really enjoyed our villa & game drives at Jock Safari Lodge. Other accommodations he booked were well-located, and felt very safe as well.

Having booked through Ian for our honeymoon in 2018, I booked again for my 40th birthday last month.
Ian is superb, keeps in touch and creates a bespoke package relevant to your requirements. We love South Africa and Ian has really helped make the experience what it is. From arranging accommodation in the winelands to hotel transfers, Ian caters for all.

This is the second time we have used travelxa and once again we have not been disappointed.
A special holiday booked for my 60th and Beverley once again built us a fantastic itinerary. Every place we stayed was amazing. I spent my 60th birthday getting up at 6am to go out on a game drive! What an amazing day - one of my best yet!
Amakhalla was a brilliant safari lodge with wonderful food, staff and rangers.

A brilliant itinerary and an amazing holiday. The lodge in Sabi Sands was outstanding and the game drives exceptional. This was followed by a stay in Cape Town, then a visit to the winelands followed up by a road trip along the Garden Route to Plettenburg Bay.

The Table Bay hotel in Cape Town was the best hotel for us to start our adventure in South Africa. After that very long journey over from the UK a luxurious room was the perfect tonic and the fabulous breakfast the following morning was well appreciated as well! A brilliant location and all the staff were so warm and welcoming.

The Macaron in Franschhoek was very different of course. A small guest house in a small town but again it ticked all of our boxes. The garden was beautiful, the sunbathing area around the pool nice and private with big umbrellas to protect those of us who didn't want to be exposed to the blazing sun all the time. Again a healthy breakfast to give us the ideal start to each morning.

And so to Kariega Game Reserve. The views weren't disappointing! Simply spectacular. Our early morning drive brought close encounters with giraffes, zebras, springboks, buffalo and a particularly hungry rhino. In the afternoon a huge herd of elephants strolled within touching distance of our vehicle and then we got close (although thankfully not THAT close) to a couple of lions who at times seemed to be posing for our cameras!

Our room was huge. The enormous bath inside and the freezing cold plunge pool outside were real treats. The infinity pool was worth a dip and again the area was nice and private with plenty of shady spots.

The main lodge was a short walk along a windy footpath from our room. A very good selection of food at breakfast and dinner sat with our fellow guests. The unlimited selection of wine was impressive but with early starts at 5 am it was easy to resist any temptation to over indulge!

The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Our ranger was great and really knowledgable.

It was a great climax to our journey and for me two nights there was the perfect duration.

The days flew by and we both left South Africa pledging to return. To me that's always an indication of a holiday being excellent. And of course, we would certainly book again through Travel Exclusively African.

The organisation and recommendations from Ian were all superb and we would highly recommend Travel Exclusively African as an agent for a holiday of a lifetime to South Africa. Everything went so smoothly from the first transfer at Cape Town airport, to the hotels, car hire and trips. Just brilliant.

Ian from Travel Exclusively African created the most amazing itinerary for our trip to South Africa and it exceeded our expectations. He took the time to listen to our likes, wants, crazy ideas and from that created a a trip customised to our needs. We gave a brief outline of what we wanted from the trip and Ian would have struggled to do any better. The safari at Chitwa Chitwa was an amazing experience. Saw all the big 5 on several occasions.The rest of the trip all ran very smoothly and we stayed in 3 other great hotels. It was a holiday to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Will be going back and will definitely be using Ian again.

Hi Ian, Just a quick note to thank you for organising such a great golfing trip for us. Everything was fantastic. The hotel was in the perfect location the golf courses were absolutely brilliant. The car was perfect for the trip.

The restaurants and food were 5* and very good value. Some of the best food we have ever had in fact.

All I can say is we are hooked and can’t wait to return. We will be spreading the word about the fantastic services you offer as a company to all of our friends and golfing colleagues.

Ian managed to find a holiday that met our budget and exceeded our expectations. We had quite a few specifications travelling with 2 children and wanting to go back to Madikwe but he recommended a fanastic lodge, perfect for us. The transfers etc all worked seamlessly and we had ample information before we travelled and Ian was incredibly responsive to any queries we had as well as at the time of booking. We wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

We have just returned from the most fabulous family holiday to South Africa and one of the reasons it was just so incredible was down to Beverly and her team at Travel Exclusively African. Thank you Ian for yet another wonderful trip to South Africa. I am not sure how you do it but you seem to be able to book the weather as well as all the other arrangements you made for us. Kate certainly had the trip of her life for her 30th Birthday.

The itinerary was inventive and varied, to give us the best taste of South Africa in the time we had. We were booked in extremely nice hotels with excellent services, the guides and drivers that were supplied were knowledgeable, professional and courteous, and all the arrangements were executed flawlessly.

When a totally-unexpected storm washed out some highways, the agency stepped in to modify our hotel and travel arrangements to completely sidestep any problems. They did a superb job for us, and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
