Show shipping poor service

You have to dig deep into the fine print to learn your order likely will come from China and takes weeks for delivery if it arrives at all. Despite tracking info to the contrary, we never received the item we ordered.

While the company's reps were quick to respond to email, they kept telling us to wait a bit longer or check with some 3rd party shipper we had never heard of instead of owning the problem themselves and investigating accordingly.

Ultimately, we filed a claim with our credit card company and got the refund the company should have issued. Do not recommend them at all.

EDIT:
The company's response is laughable and likely offered to only try and save face after this review was posted. Similar they emailed us to say they were going to offer a refund or replacement, but this again came only after the review was posted and a dispute was filed.

Wrong item sent and no communication

They sent the wrong coloured lights compared to what I had ordered. Offered me a discount to keep them but I didn’t want them as they don’t match the colour of my room. As soon as I said I didn’t want a discount and to keep them, they have not been back in touch and will not answer my emails!! Wouldn’t use this company again at all.

Avoid!

Placed an order for a few items. Each item is apparently sent separately and none of the tracking details work. Have received only one item, which is faulty. One side of the fitting is considerably wider than the other. Have asked for a refund and awaiting response. Would not recommend using this company at all.

Horrible Service

Recently ordered a Pendant Light. Took two months to receive. When I received it is missing pieces. I have emailed because there is no number to call. I do not get a responses and no solution to problem.

Basically a scam

Two of out three items arrived not even looking like the pictures, horrendous quality and just made of cheap plastic. The price is way too high for what they offer and obviously since the return can only be done at the customer's cost and the warehouse is in China, you'll end up losing money. Avoid at all cost, not worth the risk.

Edit: The items aren't handmade, it's literally the cheapest plastic from a factory. Also, I've reached out to you ages ago and all you could offer me is an address in China and that was after a lengthy email exchange. Do not buy from them!

Lies about tracking on shipment

Lies about tracking on shipment. Refuses to cancel orders, despite not providing shipping verification and despite offering canceling in terms. Insanely long shipping times & handling times (month+).

Edit: Their replies here are for show. They have my order number because I contacted them multiple times about my issues. They could have helped at any time during those discussions, but now that I post a review they care? Give me a break.

Scammy company - you will lose your money

Atrocious company. Very scammy. We ordered 2 ceiling lamps and a ceiling fan.

One of the lamps came out as a different color (brown instead of white). And the ceiling fan had a picture so misleading that when we received it, our contractor said that it would require some major work to install it (a bolt on the attic and a massive hole on the ceiling).

The picture on their website shows it flush to the ceiling but the actual fan can’t actually be placed like that.

There’s no way to contact them other than that “Helen” email and naturally they will never reply to your emails,

A horror story of a company, avoid at all costs.

SCAM Do Not Buy From This Site

Please read and take note of these reviews. I lost £400. The lights are plastic and nothing at all like the photos and the description. They are worst than Temu. They took months to come so they are from China. £400 is a lot of money to be scammed out of so I wasn't then able to buy any lights. Do not buy from this site its a scam.

NOT as described and no response from HomDIY

I ordered 2 lights which took longer to arrive than expected, when they arrived lights are not as described, in either colour, material or quality. I have made 4 attempts to contact the company which claims to support the customer 24/7! I want a refund as believe this company to be a Chinese scam. Reporting to my bank if I don’t get a reply. it’s now days and no response.

Ordered a bathroom light

Ordered a bathroom light, the product listing claimed that it was appropriate for a bathroom. It took a really long time to arrive, and then the information sheet provided stated that it could not be used in a bathroom. When we tried to return it, we were given a range of options that were not part of their return policies. They wanted to refund in 30% and have us keep it, but we had no use for it if it couldn’t go in the bathroom so we had to persist to get a full refund. They only agreed to that if we sent them a video of us destroying the light. We were so uncomfortable with that because it seemed so wasteful. It was clearly too expensive for them to arrange return shipping and process the product. I’d never ever use them again and would warn heavily against anyone shopping with them.

I love my lights but they came…

I love my lights but they came mis-formed and I had to reorder. If you are in a rush, forget it. They take a long time to come. Once we got a replacement, not all the parts matched and were available (like the bolts to install the lights). I would not recommend this company, but I do like my lights a lot.

Chandelier, unusable, not as advertised and damaged

Purchased chandelier in July, but it took 2 months to receive. Emailed "Helen" on their website as instructed but no resolution. Item finally arrived damaged, not as advertised (all plastic, not metal) and definitely not up to fire code with the wiring provided. No response to further emails. SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Avoid - potential scam

Homdiy and Lampsmodern are in cahoots. These companies are based in China and provide long dispatch time, terrible customer services and are effectively scammers. Their sales are not sales. They add inflated striked prices to their sale items to make it same they are good deals but they are in fact not deals. Please avoid and purchase your products from a reliable source.
