Food is definitely better than other prep services, some of the sauces can be a bit washy or oily though.

Good quality
I’ve eaten three meals so far and I love them! Portioned controlled tasty and no nasty’s. Perfect as I’m trying to eat more protein and watch my calorie intake.

Meals are fab, would like more variety of meal choice
The website is easy to use. The meals are delicious and look like proper adult meals separated on your plate instead of a mixed up mess you get from competitors!
The only thing I would change is more choice of Westernised meals, the beef lasagna is really yummy.

Just got my first HC batch of 6 meals
Just got my first HC batch of 6 meals, the exterior box was soaking wet, I was dreading opening the box. When I opened it I was presented with 6 boxes covered in some red juice, most likely the jerk chicken. The lids of the meal boxes are flimsy and are not airtight so anything can move in or out. Very disappointed with the way the food seems to be haphazardly handled and packaged. The padding and ice are not helping as much as they should. Not looking forward to eating contaminated food. Going to cancel my subscription! I have not given this a 1 star as I have not yet tasted the food. If the food is rubbish I will downgrade this review. HC need to get their act together. If any food is somehow nice, the packaging and delivery have totally undone the experience. Shame on HC.

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry the box arrived in that state, DPD clearly haven't handled it with care, which shouldn't happen given our packaging is clearly marked. A full refund was issued .
On the packaging: our meals are cooked by independent chefs in their own home kitchens or small restaurants rather than in factories, which is what makes the food genuinely chef-cooked rather than mass-produced. The trade-off is that they don't have access to industrial heat-sealing machines, which is why some trays use press-on lids instead. It's something we're actively reviewing to see how we can improve it across the network.
Hope the food itself lands better than the box did.

Best meal prep delivery by far and I have tried quite a few. The best variety for sure, and everything I've tried has tasted great. Feel like I'm able to be healthier now in the evening but without having to put in the effort.

Very disappointed
I was about to order an Indian takeaway from my favourite restaurant, but I decided to try home cooks chargrilled butter chicken, I was expecting an authentic dish but I was extremely disappointed. The flavours were not there, I couldn't taste any of the traditional spices used in a butter chicken, the chicken was mushy and kind of shredded, the rice was bland and mixed in with the curry. I eat a lot of Indian food and often make my own, I will stick to my usual dishes in future.

The Chargrilled Butter Chicken you tried is from our retail range, which is a separate part of the business from our subscription meal boxes. Different chef, different production process, and formulated for retail shelf life. We'll pass your feedback on to the team responsible for the retail line so they can look at improving the flavour depth.
If you'd ever like to try our chef-cooked subscription meals, they're prepared quite differently and have a range of Indian dishes that might land better.

Great quality
I was skeptical if I was going to like the food and if it would be filling but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. It was packaged well and survived being outside in the heatwave too. Getting ready meals means I can focus more time on other things since I do not like to cook anyway.
