Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. They never answer after 1 hour plus holds and then when you leave a message to call back, they don't. They take weeks to answer emails.

Customer Service is unreachable via the phone

I was able to renew online but when I needed to transfer (1) of the pets to a different address, it has been a nightmare. I reached out via online and an email and they said I had to call. I have called numerous time and never get a live person. I have been on hold before for over 15 minutes! Today it's almost been 7 minutes. Will NOT RENEW again. Either hire more people or have a better system for answering calls.

Worthless

Worthless. Customer service is almost non-existent. Online renewal doesn't work. I've called 4 times over 5 days and can only leave a message but to no avail. I'm suspicious of the 5 star reviews. There's NO WAY this is a 5 star business. Best to be a 5 star pet owner instead. It's cheaper. Know your pet, train your pet, and keep tabs on it like it's a toddler. You don't need chips and licenses if you're a responsible parent to your pet.

If I could give a zero review I would

If I could give a zero review I would. This company is HORRIBLE! We adopted a dog from a neighbor and the vet said it was a Home Again chip, gave us the chip number along with the contact info. We tried calling 5 times and finally got a recording to send an email of our needs. After sending the email we received a reply 3 days later instructing us on an issue not what we contacted them about. 4 more emails later and the same response was give. We sent a screen shot showing the error was on their part. Never heard again from them. Who owns this company? Their owner must know what’s going on. NEVER EVER SEND A DIME TO THIS COMPANY.

Disappointing and Unreliable

Similar to other comments, this company is almost impossible to contact. They do not respond to emails, they do not answer calls, and they do not call back, and I'm just trying to register my pet...

I can't imagine the pain they put people through if their customer's lose a pet. I'm so disappointed my dog has been chipped by this company.

I'm looking into to other options to protect my pet.

Chipped my dog 10 plus years ago

Chipped my dog 10 plus years ago. He got out last night. Got on the website to update my info and report him missing. They sent out emails to people within a 10 mile radius. Within 10 hours a HomeAgain neighbor found him, contacted HomeAgain and I now have my dog back. Home again worked promptly and called to let me know he was found. So glad I did this all those years ago. Doesn’t matter what the yearly subscription fee is, our pet is worth every penny.

NO customer service for an issue that shouldn’t even be an issue!

It has been a month since my dogs microchip was inserted. I have made so many attempts just to register it on Home again’s website only to be told they can’t find the microchip number. I have created a case with them. I’ve called but never get anyone so I’ve left voicemails, and yet they can’t even find my microchip that they gave me the number to, on a letter that they mailed me! Avoid this company at all costs! I will not be getting any other microchips from them!

Is this run out of a 16 year olds…

Is this run out of a 16 year olds bedroom?
Literally impossible to do ANYTHING with this company....change info, add info...ANYTHING at all. I think the customer service "phone number" is something they use as a practical joke for their internal enjoyment....you will be on "hold" for an hour and then sent to a "answering machine" to leave a message. Never a response....we have tried 5 times. Like others, this was a good company in the past and was recognized as the top in their line of service. They could not have gone further in the opposite direction....I'm not even sure this is an actual company anymore. Really a joke. Looking for an alternative.

Reunited with our dog

Our dog ran away from our house. We live in the country with a lots of woods and coyotes. She is chipped and had her tag on her collar. After searching for her and not being able to find her we reported her missing on their website. After spending a night outside on her own she was found by a local farmer at an abandoned farm. He was able to get her reunited with us after calling Home Again.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!

Each year I receive an invoice, I pay the invoice and continue to get repeated invoices. When I call to talk to someone I am on perpetual hold only to get a recording to leave a message. I email, only to not receive follow up. I try the online customer service and they want to charge me $1.00 which is refundable but allows them the obtain my credit card information???????? Seems like a shady system to me. Please read all the reviews. They will change your mind hopefully. I hate to think about what would happen if my dog went missing.

Don’t bother giving them business…

I can’t write anything positive about this company - even if I was paid to. Every time I call, I get rude customer service reps who don’t want to do their job. Long story short - my local veterinary clinic made the mistake of putting my mothers name on MY dogs microchip. No problem… stuff happens…I’ll call HomeAgain and fix it, right? …WRONG! My mother and I have been trying to change the name on MY dogs microchip for months now, and no one within this company can complete this simple task. However, they have enough the time to spam you with emails to get you to sign up for their “membership”. This company is a joke and if I knew they would be so awful I wouldn’t have had my dog microchipped through this company. I’m still waiting for them to get their act together and get the info on my dogs microchip right. It’s extremely hard to find good help and trustworthy companies now a days. Don’t bother with this unprofessional company.

Not such a bad company.

I had query regarding implanting these microchips into my dogs while not residing in the U.S.A. I must admit after reading some of the feedback here I was not motivated to do so. I sent off an email 3 working days later recieved a reply.

I was looking at competitor that charges a once off amount for lifetime membership. Sent the email on the same day, until now, I have not recieved a reply.

I left a review on Amazon about this competitor. One complaint, no reply and secondly that they charge double the price on Amazon what they charge directly. The review was not accepted by Amazon because the Seller complained. Go figure...

I have a rescue and used to recommend…

I have a rescue and used to recommend HomeAgain to others for years. NEVER AGAIN!!! My rescue is Dove Road Sanctuary & Safe Haven. We recently pulled a cat from within hours of being euthanized in a shelter, only to find out there was a chip in kitty that had another rescue's name. That rescue was a 35 hour drive away and so we both agreed that we needed to have the chip transferred to Dove Road. For almost two weeks, after phone calls (complete waste of time!) and several emails, there was no notification that they did anything. Finally the cat is on our Home again login page. How was I to know this, if no one even responded to emails? Their site makes searching lost pets and confirming your chip registration a complete nightmare. The website navigation and their staffing solutions needs a complete overhaul. I currently use a chip where I can transfer chips automatically and offer complete registration to all adopters. This way I am confident if the animals get lost, they can find our rescue. We put so very much into our animals. Shame on Home Again, they used to be in the forefront.
