After reaching breaking point with trying to get an NHS bed for my terminally ill father in law, our care agency recommended that I try renting a bed privately. I called Owen at Homecare on Friday at 4:30pm and I sit here writing at 12 noon Saturday with a desperately needed hospital bed complete with air mattress. Glen the delivery driver was super helpful with the logistics of moving the room around and a heavy wardrobe that we didn’t realise needing moving. He gave us full instructions on how to work the bed after setting it all up. I’m writing this review more so with a view to someone reading this who is also in a desperate situation as we were, to give reassurance that Homecare are absolutely superb. I just wish I’d known about Homecare a week ago so I could have spent the time with my father in law rather than being pushed from pillar to post in the NHS system .. which I must add, still haven’t authorised a bed. My wife had abdominal surgery for a hysterectomy and less than 4 weeks after surgery she was up walking a mile and back which we put down to the brilliant bed we had.

It adjusted brilliantly to support her back and core si she could always get a good sleep.

It was delivered and set up within 2 hours of me ringing. I cannot thank them enough.

This company is great - minimum amount of bureacracy; efficient; on-time; good-natured; responsive & flexible. Owen was wonderful at coping with all the changes in collection date of the equipment.

We needed a bed to be delivered on the day we phoned the company. They happily obliged, and a bed was delivered that afternoon. This enabled my relative to come out of hospital with a care package straightaway. At the end of a 4 week period, the bed was no longer needed. However the company had taken the fee for another month out of my bank-account. I phoned them to ask them to come and collect it, and explained about the money. The bed was collected the following day, and the money was put back into my account. The staff at Home Care Hire were excellent, extremely helpful. They helped turn a really stressful situation into something that was manageable. Excellent service.

I am extremely impressed with the excellent service I have received from my initial call yesterday to the installation of the bed this morning.
I was pleasantly surprised that the bed could be delivered the next day. I also asked if the person delivering/installing could call me with an ETA as it was being installed in my father’s house.
Craig phoned me an hour before he arrived and turned up at exactly the time he said he would.
Craig was excellent and completed the installation in about half an hour. He gave us a full and informative demonstration. The whole experience could not have been better - many thanks.

From initial contact to delivery, this was a smooth and efficient service. Quality products and a helpful, courteous team. The initial contact to enquire and book was very clear and helpful, including costs and whether we were VAT exempt. Frequent updates on the order and on the delivery.
The guy who delivered and put up the bed (Craig) was very pleasant and helpful. Took all the packaging away, and gave a clear demonstration . Thank you

Home Care were amazing. They delivered the bed very promptly when we sadly needed it most and collected it again with no fuss. Their telephone support was exemplary and their drivers were friendly and reassuring. We would happily recommend them to anyone who needs a hospital bed in the UK.

From the very first contact Home Care Hire provided a very caring, helpful and professional service. During the ordering process, Hannah & Owen could not have been more helpful via phone calls and emails. Delivery for next day was organized, Kevin arrived as promised and set up of the bed, followed by a full demonstration and question answering session. Collectively Home Care Hire provide an excellent service. I am confident that this will continue through ongoing rental and when it comes time for the bed to be collected.

Can’t fault the efficiency and communication of the team from the initial call, the delivery/construction of the bed, the actual bed itself to the final collection. Shout out to Glen for his positive energy and professionalism.
The only reason for not giving a 5 star is that we ended the agreement 4 days early and surprised that that the refund came after the collection charge rather than just offsetting.

Hannah saved the day for me,I came out of hospital after a full hip replacement and was in agony all night in my bed and suffered all night in tears- we found home care hire online and called and spoke to Hannah,I was hopeful they could help getting me a bed but was under the impression it would be a week or so before getting one,my god the shock when Hannah said yes sure we can deliver one to you today,I was shocked and delighted at the same time,all was explained to me really well as well as the pricing etc,I can't explain how happy I was to receive this 10 out 10 service and the delivery driver Glen came and set the bed up so quickly and explained all the features! I have had the bestest sleep since hiring this bed and I am so so greatful 💓. Thank you- please dont hesitate to get your equipment via Home Care- the best choice I made!! Highly recommended

Like previous reviewers if I could leave more stars I would. We rely on a lift to get upstairs to medical bed. After being let down by the lift company failing to even get the part to fix the lift, and spending 2 nights sleeping in a chair we were desperate. Owen was absolutely brilliant - helping us access a medical bed for downstairs, install it and talk us through how to work it same day. Can’t thank you enough!

We hired a bed late sunday, and it here on monday . Craig was a great guy, quick to set up and show us the demo. Husband is absolutley chuffed to bits with his temporary bed. I wont hesitate to recommend home care hire.

I can’t speak highly enough of Home Care Hire and I’m very grateful to them for the care they show to their customers. The team are efficient, helpful and really go above and beyond to help as fast as possible right when you need it. My Mum came to stay with us following an operation and when she got here I realised that she wasn’t able to manage to get in and out of a normal bed. When I contacted Home Care Hire, Owen was able to arrange for a hospital bed to be delivered to us the very same day, just a few hours after I spoke to him. The bed arrived in immaculate condition and was set up quickly and efficiently by another member of the team who was courteous and efficient. The bed has been comfortable for my Mum and the different functions via the remote control have been an absolute godsend in helping her to manage to get in and out of bed and sit up and lay down independently. Now that she is recovered enough to get back into a regular bed, Owen arranged to come and dismantle and collect the bed just a couple of days after I requested that it be collected. He even refunded my Mum part of the hire fee because we hadn’t had the bed for as long as the period of time that we initially paid for. What a fantastic company, I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you so much for a great service.
