UNFAIR AND CRYPTIC
I can only share my experience which is not only very bad but also very unfair!
We were interested in buying an apartment. Within 48 hours of visiting the apartment we confirmed our interest and proposed a price together with our financing confirmation. The agent said someone else had already proposed the same price and it was the highest price. We stayed on our price thinking that both the buyers will get the chance to talk to the owner. But the agent waited 10 more days for the other buyer to make a bank proposal and allowed only the other buyer to engage with the owner (UNFAIR RIGHT). Well then within 1 hour we increased our proposed price and became the highest bidder, but the agent said the other buyer will still get the apartment even at the lower price. All this did not make sense because nothing was done in written with the other buyer. I kept calling the agent, he always tried to tell me that I will not get the apartment without telling me a logical reason or solution for it. The apartment was not sold for 1 month, they were even taking more visiting appointments but not selling it to me nor asking me to increase the price. Very rude and unprofessional behaviour we saw for the first time, which made us wonder if we made a mistake at any point. I called the homeday customer care more than 10 times and every time they told that the agent will contact us. But the agent never contacted us. And finally like after calling 5 more times, we just got 1 answer that the apartment will not be sold to us and that they will not tell the reason. HAHA!
Only later did we realise a possible reason that the agent was looking for a buyer who would take financing from his recommended agent. So this means the agent is not helping the seller at all. He did not care that the seller gets the highest price but only that who agrees to take financing from his agent. Wow!!
Here is the warning sign for all the sellers who go to Homeday! Also all the other buyers who had similar problem that they could not understand why even after matching/increasing the price you did not get the deal with Homeday..now you know why..it is because probably you did not take the financing from them.
