Just returned home from staying at Home Farm.
It was the best we have stayed in so far. Very spacious and well equipped, good location, large garden, easy parking and quick responses from owners to questions.
The lounge is a little dark as it looks into the pool room from one window. The top suite is quirky as the bed is set between the beams so you have to be careful not to bang heads/shoulders as you get in. Also no blinds on the dormer windows so very light, you are however provided with an eye mask and I slept better than I expected!
Drying clothes/costumes was not easy because of the weather so we had to put the heating on, could do with some instructions on how to work it. Also not much local information, a folder with recommendations would be helpful.

Fantastic house for a multi-generational family holiday. The kids loved the pool it was great that we could keep an eye on them without having to be in the pool ourselves all the time.
The accessible suite was perfect for my parents- my Dad uses a wheelchair and it was so nice to find a place that was suitable for all the family together.
Would definitely recommend.

We've had the most wonderful family holiday here at home farm house.
The house itself is a cozy gem nestled in a beautiful village which sits outside the main hustle and bustle of the Scarborough seafront.
A holiday in the UK in April is always a gamble with the weather but the amazing indoor pool meant that we were covered in any eventuality. Our children wanted to be in there the entire time!
The house itself was immaculate, warm and inviting. Laid out perfectly for a big family get together.
The owners were wonderful with communication and we felt very well looked after.

We're already planning our next trip back.

Home farm Scarborough is a very lovely cosy place to stay it has all the amenities, on arrival we we're greeted with some special little touches for our boys birthday even the dogs got a lovely little welcome pack. The house has plenty of space for our family of 3 generations. Everyone enjoyed the pool very much, my only suggestion would be to fit a accessable lift for the swimming pool.(This did not stop us from getting our dad in the pool there where many hands to help) Very accommodating for those with accessable needs everywhere else on the ground floor. Some great local views,plenty to explore.

We spent a long weekend at Home Farm House celebrating my 60th birthday.
There were ten of us - 7 adults & 3 children - staying at this beautiful quintessential cottage including the accessibility suite. Everything was perfect.
From the moment we stepped through the door of the warm cottage we were met with little surprises. It’s the little things… blanket, towel, biscuits for Heidi our Border Collie, cupcakes, birthday banners, fresh milk in the fridge - all of which were a touching welcome.
All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool was a great plus for the children and us. The children also enjoyed making a ‘den’ in the top floor landing wardrobe (!) and exploring the vast garden.
It felt like home. In the door, slippers on, fire lit, a glass of Champagne… we loved it.
Showers, bath, beds, linen … were all fab. Tea towels, condiments, cleaning supplies, soap, hand towels all provided.
We used the bbq (yes, in February!) too and took our own charcoal.
My only suggestion would be to provide instructions for the heating - three thermostats and underfloor heating in the kitchen that we never managed to work out and also bath sheets would’ve been a great addition.
We would definitely return. Loved the village and the Scarborough beaches and everybody was so very friendly.

We had a lovely family break (7 adults to 2 grandchildren). House was great and spacious and well equipped. We all loved the swimming pool. Great location within a lovely village and good access to Scarborough. Great food at the local pub and cafe The wee general store was handy and all the people we met were friendly. We were there for Halloween and my daughter took my granddaughter out trick or treating and came back with lots of goodies.
Communication from enquiry to stay was excellent and even during our stay. We had a problem with the boiler(it happens), but although Melanie was away on holiday she dealt with it very quickly and the engineer was out within a matter of hours.
Would highly recommend and definitely would return.

Such a fabulous place for a family get-together. The surrounding area is quaint and had a couple of pubs and a coffee shop in easy walking distance from the property. The house felt welcoming and homely from the moment we went through the front door. Spacious with excellent facilities. A well equipped kitchen with double fridge-freezer so no struggle storing food for our large group for the weekend. Plenty of seating at the dining table and in the living room for us too. We didn’t use the garden but it looked to be a great outdoor space. The icing on the cake was the indoor heated pool! We all loved it, especially our granddaughters. The inflatables were an added bonus and such fun. We loved our whole weekend and made some very special memories

Thank you Home Farm Scarborough. My sisters and I had a two night stay with our families in October and had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful, clean and cosy. We loved the little touches including the cute Halloween cakes and dog biscuits for our collie Barney. The pool was incredible, we couldn’t have asked for more and look forward to visiting again.

What an amazing place to escape to. Firstly, the village location is beautiful and then tucked away is the wonderful surprise that is Home Farm Scarborough. From the minute you pull up in the car you know this is somewhere special, particularly for me as I am a wheelchair user and there are few places like this available to me. The ground floor has been thoughtfully adapted without being obvious, such as wide doorways and flush/ramped thresholds. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The ground floor suite has the biggest double bed guaranteed to give a good night’s sleep.
The adapted bathroom has everything you will need, being spacious with plenty of grab rails and a shower seat.
We had the most amazing weekend which throws up the only downside of the visit…that we had to leave. Now we have found this place we definitely want to return, and so will you.

A perfect family holiday
My second visit (first time was a few years ago with a group of girl friends which it is equally suited to)
I stayed here with my family the last week in August we had an age range of 5 month old twins to my 78 year old Mum ! Easy communication with anything that cropped up, friendly quiet village and easy parking. We visited both pubs and the cafe all of which were excellent. All the rooms were very comfortable with good pillows and nice bed linen - plenty of towels provided. Well equipped kitchen which we used a lot because it was easier than going out and such a lovely space to be in. The TV in the lounge was great for movies as it is a smart tv. Everyone loved the pool and all the inflatables and toys to go with it. My mum aged 78 stayed in the accessible suite which was just perfect for her to have her own space including bathroom and so spacious
All in all it was just perfect and we shall certainly look forward to staying in the future.

Home Farm is a lovely house for a family holiday. We had 3 generations staying and a dog and everyone enjoyed it. The swimming pool was a big hit with everyone, it’s big enough to swim lengths, our granddaughters enjoyed the floats etc already there.
Melanie the owner was very helpful and always replied quickly to any questions we had. The large secure garden was perfect for both the children and the dog.
The kitchen was fitted with everything you could need including 2 large fridge freezers. The house is situated on a quiet road so we never had any problems with parking or noise. Great house, hopefully we will return soon.

We had a great holiday…we were a party of 8 adults, 4 children (one in a wheelchair) and our dog.
Plenty of room for all, and a lovely big secure garden.
The disabled access suite was great, with a wet room and plenty room for equipment etc.
The pool was a hit, and had a ramp to allow wheelchair access.
Scalby village itself is lovely with 2 pubs, a small shop and a cafe all within a few minutes walking distance.
Melanie, the owner was very helpful and was available for any issues or queries.

Great family holiday all being together found it much better than all staying in a hotel,everything was to a very high standard,Melanie was very helpful and efficient,We have already recommended it to others.

We stayed at Home Farm for our granddaughter’s birthday there was 12 in our party spanning 4 generations, from arrival to departure Melanie was very informative with all the things we needed to know about our stay, the house itself was clean, well heated and very homely, the fantastic kitchen diner was where we as a family spent most of our time sat around the dining table and which led straight into the amazing pool which the children and grandchildren never wanted to come out of, thank you for letting us share your beautiful home we had the most fabulous weekend and will definitely return and recommend you to all our family and friends.

We had a wonderful time at Home Farm House for my husband’s special birthday. Plenty of room for the whole family, comfortable generous bedrooms, a large dining table to all share in the open plan kitchen diner. The icing on the cake was the indoor pool which was enjoyed by all. A short walk to the village and a great dinner at the Plough completed a superb weekend. A few minutes in the car to the beach, what more could one ask? We will be returning. Thank you to Melanie and Nick for making the house so welcoming. One very happy family here! See you next time!

Home Farm House is the perfect place to spend time with your family, it has everything you require to relax and have fun. It is very clean , and the swimming pool is brilliant - my grandchildren didn't want to get out! All in all a brilliant time was had by all!

The disability suite enabled 3 generations to enjoy all that the house and area had to offer.
Wonderful facilities, lovely village and close to the beaches.

From the 1st contact through to the end of our holiday Melanie had been amazing.
Booking our holiday was easily & we were updated at every step.
The house is beautiful & so warm & welcoming despite its size. We were a party of 10 covering 3 generations & were able to amply fill our time keeping everyone happy. Everything that you could want from the area is close by from supermarkets to beach & other local attractions.
