Absolute joke the temu of insurance

Absolute joke, randomly stopped taking payment for our home insurance by Direct Debit even though we were on auto renew, potentially leaving us uninsured. I called them as there was no response to any emails.

They apologised re-assuring us we were on their records so would have been insured, yeah right . . . would have been interesting if we had needed to make a claim.

Anyway I was told a new insurance provider would be taking on our account in January 2025, life moves on , and I dont see any communications from the old insurance provider or the new one, so again i question it, Home in ones response was take it up with he new insurer who I wont name as they were very helpful.

I call the new insurer and no we are not insured with them, so my account had never been transferred over. Enough said.

From the abyss

From the abyss. Very happy to take your money, but dead set against offering you any kind of support. I would describe them as parasites if I am completely honest.

Unfortunately they were chosen by my…

Unfortunately they were chosen by my buying agent for the appraisal of my new home. Late service, unclear timelines, payment before the report is handed in, and unwillingness to compromise to my needs.

Useless, look elsewhere.

do your own comparisons

Note they don't respond to poor reviews. I had Milo put the phone down without a thank you and lie about it, lie about prices saying they comparisons when my quotes were very different and generally have an attitude because i didnt believe his pre written speech. Very poor

I would rate 0 stars if I could

I would rate 0 stars if I could. Absolutely appalling service received.
Now been waiting 7 days for a "home emergency" to be resolved and still no closer to a resolution - causing a lot of unnecessary stress for a heavily pregnant woman! Will 100% be cancelling our policy and taking our business elsewhere.

Appallling emergeny assistance.

I called Home in One on Friday for assistance with an emergency darain blockage, and was put through to the claims handler line. No response and I waited for 30 minutes before I gave up.
Called again on the Saturday and was advised to leave an email which was never answered.
Hopeless emergency service from this company.
I brought in a private contractor in the end who disd an excellent job.

Brilliant customer service

It was a pleasure renewing my home buildings insurance with David and other team members at the company.
Whenever I have some query however small, the response was instantaneous. Good value for money too.

No communication

My direct debit was cancelled, I have been trying to contact this company for the past week and have had no response and it’s been impossible to reach them through their non existent phone numbers?!

Home insurance review

Dave was the first and only person I spoke to throughout the whole process, as he was so knowledgeable about the insurance and cover I needed that he managed it all himself.

The cover I purchased was tailored to my situation and the policy itself leaves me feeling safe in the face of any unfortunate situations that may arise

The whole experience leaves me confident in the professionalism of not only Dave, but also of the company as a whole.

Thank you!
