Great value Thunderbolt SSD (updated)
I received my 2TB Thunderbolt SSD Drive and cable today, 4 days after ordering it with free (Express) delivery. (It was dispatched the same day.) AusPost left it in an unsecure letterbox, which wasn't ideal—I would have preferred to sign for it. Under $500 for 2TB of NVMe SSD with Thunderbolt interface is great value. Having just run some speed tests, the drive is performing a little slower than I'd expected—around 1560 MB/s write, and 1900 MB/s read (compared with 1800 and 2400 advertised speeds), and slower than my Mac's built-in SSD, but still fast enough for my needs.
Update: I ended up having some trouble with this drive. My Intel iMac started crashing with the drive connected. After ruling out everything else I could think of, I reluctantly asked Keith for a refund. I offered to pay for the return postage and Keith was happy to refund the full invoice amount. I purchased a more expensive drive which is working well. (The read/write speeds are very similar to the HomeKit drive, so I guess my Mac's Thunderbolt 3 interface isn't really delivering what the spec says it can.) Anyway, despite the issues, I'll leave this as a 4-star review because of the customer service. I'd be willing to try a HomeKit drive again in the future. You certainly can't beat the performance/price ratio.

We now attach a "Do not leave" sticker to all shipments but remain without any power to have Australia Post carry this out.
The SSD's we use are at the budget end of the scale so that we can make this technology available to the widest audience.
We also sell a Thunderbolt Fire SSD utilising a Seagate FireCuda SSD but it costs accordingly, and mostly people simply do not pay the extra.
We are thinking of introducing a Thunderbolt SSD Pro range that performance and price wise would sit in the middle. I'd be really keen to have your feedback on this idea.

The worst of the absolute worst
The worst of the absolute worst. HomeKit Australia is a scam put simply. I purchased a cable for 5$ from their website which already seemed dodgy. Firstly it took almost 2 weeks for my package to come when I paid for express shipping and even worse when it arrived the post office was asking me to pay an extra 5-15$ in postal fees. This is because Homekit did not put the correct stamp and address and tried to pull a fast one by offsetting the postage cost to me again! Lucky I had PayPal but stay away stay far away from Homekit and far away from Keith Palmer. Furthermore I'd like to add that HomeKit Australia put simply is an over priced drop -shipping company. They mark up their prices even though their cables are cheap ones from China and then provide a sale that makes you think your getting a bargain when you can get the same thing from AliExpress cheaper! Furthermore as you can see their customer service is horrible and no right to privacy clearly putting my name when they have no reason too. But I've got nothing to hide they even addmited to not sending the funds because apparently they weren't released. Guys I used PayPal how would the funds not go through clearly another scam tactic. Moreover none of these products that HomeKit sell are Apple MiFi certified, and you can probably find what you need on ebay as well. Just stay away another dodgy company trying to make a quick buck from us hard-working folk. I am going to raise my issue to ACCC to make sure others are not scammed by this fake company.

This person ordered a USB cable for $4.99 including delivery on 7 June under the name F N but it appears this is an alias.
No payment was received for the order and over the subsequent days we sent 4 emails to Ms N (???) informing him/her that no funds had been received. There was zero response.
On 12 June $4.99 was received and we sent the cable the same day.
It appears that delivery was delayed because of an incorrect address but we copied and pasted the exact address supplied by the customer. It appears both the name of the customer and the address supplied to us, were incorrect.
All of our deliveries are individually lodged with Australia Post who check the postage paid, weight and dimensions of each package so as to ensure all goes smoothly and no deliveries are underpaid.
We would have happily made enquiries to Australia Post but instead we received an email full of accusations and abuse.
PayPal did refund the customer their $4.99 but did not deduct these funds from HomeKit Australia, who had dispatched the package the very same day as payment was received.
To support this we have published the transcript below. We cannot paste screenshots but will be happy to supply to any government agency that seeks copies.

06:30 am - A $4.99 AUD payment was processed on PayPal Express Checkout.
8 JUNE

5:59 pm A $4.99 AUD payment is PENDING on PayPal Express Checkout.
The purchaser claims they paid for Express Post delivery but in fact they paid $0.00 for delivery.
PayPal have not declared why they withheld these funds of $4.99 as we have never seen it with any other purchase. Perhaps it had something to do with the purchaser using a false name and an incorrect address.
We will gladly speak with the ACCC about this $4.99 purchase from the author above, who buys product with an alias.
It is simply false that our cables are not MFI certified. Every cable we stock and every cable we have ever sold is manufactured by SOCW, who hold 4 MFI certifications from Apple. We only claim MFI certification on the cables that have MFI certification. The cable you purchased for $4.99 including GST and delivery was never claimed to be MFI. The MFI certification will automatically add $4 to $5 to each cable.
If you check Apple's website you can confirm that SOCW hold 4 separate Apple MFI certifications.
I'd be really pleased to buy cables not made in a high-tech facility in China so we would really appreciate you letting us know from which location such cables are sourced?????
We do note that you have posted a 1 star review about the cable. If it is so bad, we would be happy to have it returned so you can buy a cable from China that is so much better and so much cheaper and from an unknown source.

Bait and Switch
I purchased a couple of cables with free express shipping. The owner contacted me claiming express shipping wasn't free and gave me the option of cancelling or using standard post. I replied suggesting they honour the offer. Without further contact they shipped it standard parcel post against my wishes. This adds an extra week to the delivery time.
In multiple emails the owner claimed this he's had problems offering free express shipping with other orders. This is a known issue that he hasn't fixed.
After further unsatisfactory responses I handed the matter over to Consumer Protection WA. Once I informed them that I had made a complaint the owner tried to impose additional conditions.
Overall the whole experience has been really poor. I won't be ordering any further products from HomeKit Australia.
Update: Consumer Protection WA found that HomeKit Australia had engaged in deceptive conduct.

We will go through the facts.
1. Offer made below that clearly cites –
a. you will receive a $6.95 discount bringing the total delivered price to $4.99
b. $4.99 includes standard delivery - AusPost tracking included
c. Cable delivered by Express Post is $7.99 [not $4.99]
The free shipping is ONLY for standard delivery and NOT Express Post delivery.
was added after you and 2 others tried to get Express Post for free, and not the $7.99 clearly advertised.
2. Mr Hall accepted the offer and ordered the $4.99 free standard post cable and a different cable that did not ship free but we also provided free shipping for this item. Mr Hall decided he would select Express Post and not the offered standard post. Express Post costs us $11.40 in bulk - this was a $4.99 item that included standard post.
3. Yes we contacted Mr Hall telling him the offer he accepted was not for free Express Post but for standard shipping. He was offered the choice of free standard shipping or a 100% refund. He says he replied but he did not, so we shipped his order standard post.
4. After he received the shipping notice, he then responded and wanted unspecified damages. He told us - "This is a substantial difference in the product as advertised." It was EXACTLY as advertised. The only difference was he received a second (different) cable also freight free.
5. A further 3 times we offered a full refund and on each occasion Mr Hall rejected a refund.
6. On one occasion we told Mr Hall another client had emailed a cancellation order after his order had shipped and demanded his money back plus $9.40 extra to post it back. We made both the refund and the return cost of postage but the client never sent the product back and kept the now free goods plus a recompense for postage he never incurred. Mr Hall claims we had problems with Express Shipping - this is false. Mr Hall says we made this "claim" in multiple emails, we told him in one email. Mr Hall's response - "Last time this happened"?! You're kidding right? This isn't the first time you've screwed up your coupon codes?"
7. A total of 4 people from over 100 orders for this offer tried to obtain free Express Post delivery. All 4 were contacted (including Mr Hall) and 3 declined a refund and accepted the offer as made. The fourth person, Mr Hall, did not respond.
8. Mr Hall's first communication, after the goods had shipped -
"I got the shipping confirmation tonight. It shows you shipped it standard parcel post, not express. I gave you two options, honour my order as placed or refund me."
We could not ship Express Post as Mr Hall indicated, the goods had already shipped. Mr Hall's next request was to refund him but on 4 separate occasions when we offered to do so, he each time refused to take a refund.
9. Mr Hall refused to return the goods to us and refused a refund. He refused also to tell us what it was he wanted. He threatened on multiple occasions to complain to WA Consumer Affairs which his right. It appears we both wants the goods and a refund - that is to get the goods and shipping for free. This is my assumption as I cannot see any other solution that has been acceptable to Mr Hall.
10. We did not impose any conditions whatsoever against Mr Hall, as he states. We requested that he mark the Australia Post prepaid envelope (which cost us $5.65 in bulk),
Return to Sender which he refused to do. He ordered a $4.99 cable with free delivery for which we paid more than this - $5.65 - as he required a different cable also delivered for free. I explained to Mr Hall that these envelopes are able to be returned at no cost to him. "Are you asking me to lie at the post office for the reason for return?"
11. In his communication Mr Hall claimed -
"You've already admitted that this isn't the first time you've mislead consumers."
This is FALSE.
12. Mr Hall claimed we were a “screw up”, to which we explained that once we apply a free shipping discount, the system sets all shipping to zero. We sent you an email advising of Express Post not being available for free but you did not reply so we shipped the goods. The 2 [on checking it was 3] others both replied and were happy to accept the offer as made. Mr Hall would not agree.
13. Mr Hall asked - "How are you going to resolve this matter to my satisfaction" - whatever offer we made was rejected by Mr Hall. We specifically asked what is was that he wanted but he would not reply to this question. We can only assume that Mr Hall thinks HomeKit Australia should supply his goods and delivery for free, as this is the only offer we have not made him.
14. Some excerpts from Mr Hall -
"At multiple points you had the opportunity to admit that you stuffed."
"You stuffed up and instead of eating the cost, you tried saving $2. Now it has cost you more than that in opportunity cost dealing with me."
"Unless you have a better off to make, I ask that you don't contact me again."
"I'm not going to get into your bush lawyer claims."
"I don't not agree to any of the conditions you have attempted to impose in this or any other correspondence."
"I could have ordered similar cables on AliExpress [in China] with small packet plus shipping and got them about the same time for less."
"I've now wasted close to 30mins dealing with you. I'm not getting what I paid for. I ordered something I needed. You then start the bush lawyer routine. Would you be happy with the situation? Maybe you can try to do better."
"I do not agree to any offers made or requirements you are seeking to impose. This matter is now with Consumer Protection WA."
"You send to pay to send a parcel back."
Mr Hall's products are at the Post Office awaiting his collection.
I welcome speaking to WA Consumer Affairs about Mr Hall's attempts to obtain both his product and delivery for free, but there has been no contact whatsoever from WA Consumer Affairs.
Have subsequently contacted WA Consumer Protection and they state that Mr Hall’s assertions are totally false.
