Return shipping outrageous

Received my order in a timely manner. How ever my cats were not interested in the litter box no matter what I tried . Money back guarantee would be a great thing if it. Didn’t cost 550.00 to send it back in original box! And I am in the same state ! 😩😳. A little misleading I think!

Do not buy from here if you are in Australia!!!!

PETGO distributes and manages “customer service” for Catlink, Pidan, PETKIT, Homerun and other pet products in Australia. Don’t expect any customer service support or adherence to the law from them. I wouldn’t recommend any of their products based on my experience and all the negative reviews I have read since.

Context:
I bought my original PETKIT PuraMax litter box from Petbarn in Nov 2023 (for $670AUD). PETKIT replaced this unit in Oct 2024 for a sensor issue that stopped the unit running entirely.

The new unit failed again in March 2026. My cat was almost maimed, it wouldn’t stop “cleaning” for hours which I only realised after by reviewing Ring footage. The fault was so bad that it resulted in both cats severely distressed and one inappropriate toileting after a lengthy period holding it. All of this captured on video.

‘RG’ from PetKit Aus responded to my email after I had to call to follow up stating that their team identified the issue as due to the ‘motor over-current’. Instead of honouring ACCC consumer guarantees and replacing the unit, they offered me an “upgraded model” for $600.. or a new cylinder (the motor is in the base, not the cylinder). Terrible customer service.

Avoid this brand & their distributor at all costs!!! Dishonest and completely unwilling to adhere to the law.

Do not buy! Dangerous!

I purchased a pet heater from homerunPET via Amazon after seeing advertisements on Facebook. HUGE mistake! This product is dangerous. I tried repeatedly to use it, and it kept tripping the circuit breaker. In terms of its benefit to my cat, she had no interest in the unit, whether or not I placed the fur pad on top.

Order Lost, Shipping Protection Useless, Support Unresponsive

I purchased a Homerunpet CS106 self-cleaning litter box bundle on November 23, 2025 for $824.19. This included the litter box, litter step, bags, gel deodorizer, and their Shipping Protection add-on ($14.98).

The order shipped via Western Post (tracking WP2511244809525) and showed "out for delivery" in Oakland, CA on November 26. I live 30 miles away. The package never arrived.

On November 28, I received a "failed delivery attempt" notification citing "other issues." I opened a support ticket on November 30. No response.

I contacted Western Post directly, both in English and in simplified Chinese via their WeChat account. Their response: they could not locate the package and were unaware of the shipment. When I asked them to investigate, their representative said they were based in China and couldn't help with US deliveries.

Meanwhile, Homerunpet finally replied on December 4 claiming the delay was due to "severe weather in the US local warehouse." I checked the Oakland weather for that entire week—temperatures in the 60s, no rain, no storms. This was not true.

I called Homerunpet multiple times. Calls went unanswered or to voicemail. When I finally reached someone on December 8, they couldn't process a refund and asked me to wait longer. At that point, the package had been "out for delivery" for 12 days with no movement.

I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Only then did Homerunpet respond, saying they would request the package be returned and process a refund for the litter box. As of December 10, I still have no refund, no RMA for the accessories I did receive, and no acknowledgment that their Shipping Protection product failed completely.

To summarize: lost shipment, dishonest explanation, nine days to get a single email reply, unreachable phone support, and a paid protection product that protected nothing. I had to threaten a chargeback to get any movement at all.

I cannot recommend Homerunpet. If something goes wrong with your order, expect to fight for resolution.

This is a decent little heater, but a shipping disaster

This is a decent little heater. I love the concept and it does what it says.
The remote works, but not well. I would hope that design could be improved. It’s basically like a cheap string light remote. Cheaply made and only seems to turn the device on, not off.
Also, and this one is specific to 49 and 50: shipping. I live in Alaska (49). When a company refuses to ship to my state, I generally understand. If I really want the item, which I obviously did since I’m reviewing it, I’ll figure out a way. Like for this, I had it shipped to a friend I would be visiting. As an Alaskan, I’m able to have two free checked bags on AK Air flights. Easy enough to get it back to AK. But I was super annoyed when the shipping was done through Amazon. I pay for Prime so I can have things shipped to me. This should have been an easy thing for the Home Run Pets to figure out. Let people know at time of purchase add Amazon info-if you’re Prime, we’ll ship it to you for free. No need to jump through little flaming hoops.

Cats LOVE this heater

The heater is so well thought-out for cats. The love sitting atop the heated pad.
The only issue I have is that the amount of heat the heater puts out is not enough for a large room.
It works.very well in a smaller room.

I have had the automatic litter box…

I have had the automatic litter box now for a little over 2 weeks and have been impressed so far. It is big, but I had been l looking for something big enough for my cats to actually fit in and not have their heads sticking just to fit. I have 3 rescue cats and they all use it without any problems. They all took to using it within the first 4 hrs of getting it set up. I LOVE how big the waste bin is, I had another automatic one prior and was changing waste bin every 2 days. With this litter box, the first week, it went a full 7 days and this past week it went 8 days before I got the notification that it was full. Changing the waste bin was so easy! I have not had any odor issues, but is set up away from main area of home. I haven’t noticed any waste clumps remaining in the box or sticking to the sides. I haven’t notice any issues with the self litter dispenser and seems to be keeping the litter at a good level. I have 2 cats close in weight so the app can’t determine which one is using it, not a big deal for me, but my bigger cat (12.5 lbs) is spot on in the app letting me know he has used the box. The only issue I am having it when I push the button to turn the drum to an upright position to fill with litter, it goes to the upright position but when I hit the reset button for it to return to correct position it doesn’t go right down. I had to mess around with it and it finally went back to right position, it has done that both times I did this so I am not sure if it’s something I am doing wrong or machine messing up. I have read the instructions but didn’t help. I can say it was painful to spend this amount of money for a litter box, but I have a daughter who in the past few years have some significant medical issues and unfortunately in hospital at times, will be heading out of state over the Christmas holidays for another surgery and needed something to make it easier for someone to take care of them when we aren’t home. Hoping this litter box will continue to perform and last for a long time!
