f i can give MINUS stars I would!!!!!

Everyone in this place speaks with a FORKED tongue and is totally false in their representation. I paid almost $6000 and ended up selling my house to pay off the IRS because the compounded interest was $1200 per month! EVERY time i called them in almost 3 years all this company said was, "we are working on it". At some point i swear they ARE the IRS. They told me 3 years things would be rectified and now Ricki to whom i spoke to today said it takes 5 years. We spoke to a young lady who said that in 2027 all would be forgiven from the IRS, because of the statue of limitations. Well there are stipulations to the statue of limitations, that pushes or starts the 10 years back at zero. And just simply "requesting" an Offer in Compromise moves the statue of limitations date, further so IF someone had actually been FAMILIAR with my case , they would have KNOWN that and would not have made such a FALSE statement. Also claiming bankruptcy pushes the date further too. So we paid almost $8400 plus for no services and we ended up selling our house to get the IRS off our backs.

My husband is on disability and a retired VET with PTSD. And when the young lady that we talked to said that all would be forgiven in 2027, it took my husband over the edge. He felt that we were being lied to and the only thing we would get was interest upon, interest, upon penalties. We owed more penalties and interest than we did for actual tax. This place is not HONEST at all, just like the IRS isn't honest!
The initial reviews a few years back are totally different now. AND i see why. Steer clear of this place and try to find someone who will be totally HONEST and explain everything to you , and not give you half answers. When one is dealing with the IRS, we definitely want complete truth and we want people to look at each individual case and KNOW everything about the people they are representing. Because had she known our case she would have KNOWN that simply requesting an offer in compromise extends the statue of limitations! So what she said was FALSE! Everyone on here with a negative review we all should seek a class action lawsuit against this company, because we are all out of money from TRUSTING in them!

The resolution i want done is ALL my money back that they received from United Consumer Financial Services(UCFS) who they made me take out the loan with in order to pay them for their non existent services. We are owed $8,432.44, and we want every penny back. We will be seeking lawyer assistance on this matter. And I resolve that everyone on here should file a class action lawsuit against HONEST TAX for their false claims of help! They are THIEVES in sheep's clothing and they take ADVANTAGE of desperate people who want the IRS off of their backs.

DONT USE HONEST TAX UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY OUT HARD EARNED MONEY FOR NOTHING!

RUN AWAY. Do NOT walk. RUN!!! There is nothing “honest” about this organization. The company charged my mother almost $30k to resolve federal and state back filings. They have resolved NOTHING.
It has been 2 years of hell trying to get assistance from them. If there ever was a need to sue an organization for misrepresentation and malpractice it is this one!

This company has taking thousands of dollars and have not filed a thing. Everytime I called, I got the run around. They should be arrested!

Nothing but a run around with this company. They are rude and condescending. I've paid their fees in full. Provided all requested information. They were to file my 2021 and 2022 tax returns. The returns are very simplistic. My understanding was they would file the two years then work with IRS to help reduce my over all tax liability for prior years which I have been paying on for several years. They finally sent the returns to me to be reviewed. FY2022 return is not even close. Where they got the $$$$ are a mystery. Addressed this with them in December 2023.
Gave them ample time to respond but guess what crickets. Called and sat on the phone for over an hour before get to talk to another one of their 'handlers' only to be told they'd now need another $5-7k to make it all go away. They did nothing for the $2,500 I paid so they are out of their minds to think I'd give them a penny more.
Don't do it. Just don't unless you enjoy giving away your hard earned money.

They are not a company, they are a bunch of scammers. They do nothing but lie and take your money. They got me for $30,000. I have been fighting them to get it back, or even just paperwork I requested. Once they have your money.. you will never hear from them again. Then you get garnished, which is the real kick in the nuts. So you pay them, then loose your whole check to something you thought was paid. It’s so beyond ridiculous! It’s truly a living nightmare dealing with these people. They should be put in prison! Get a taste of the pain they put every single person through. I mean look at the reviews. It’s not just me, it’s every single person who deals with them. Then “arbitration” will “get involved “ 😂. Thats a joke. They tell you to go back and deal with the ass holes who don’t return your calls, emails, texts. It’s a giant scam circle. Nothing about this company is legit. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They will scam you

I initially paid Honest Tax $4800 through a third party company in 2021. $130 per month. I owed taxes and penalties from withdrawing from my 401k in 2018 so I needed their help. For two years the IRS took my refund. In 2023, Honest Tax told me if I paid another $7500, my debt to the government would be taken care of. So now I am making another payment of $229 per month to another third party company. I thought everything was taken care of until I filed my taxes for 2023 and the IRS took my refund again! Now no one will call me back. No one will email me back. It’s 2024 and I’m no farther ahead than I was in 2021!! Just more in debt and the IRS still says I owe and are threatening me with a lien or levy! I am furious and I feel utterly hopeless. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!!

I would give them negative stars if I could. They promised to handle my taxes and the supposed money I owed and I never heard from them or any updates since I made payments, the state threatened to put a lien on my account and checks over six months ago, I communicated, sent them copies of the letters I received, and my checks are being garnished as of 3 weeks ago. They are now claiming that the state is separate and are attempting to have me sign a new contract with them when this could have all been done and communicated before the lien 6 months ago. This company is disgusting and I am not sure they know what they are doing, I am STILL chasing their "state rep." Down by calling every day when they have been promising to call me back! Save your money and hire somebody else, they are not good at what they do, you are better off using the money they charge to just pay the IRS.

Honest Tax took $ 3500 of my money to file a power of attorney which was never filed per the IRS. They also used this money to investigate my case. They then took another 12,000 of my money at 24% interest and said this would settle my IRS liability. None of this money has been paid to the IRS in fact I learned a 3rd party can not pay your taxes. So all total they have 15,500 + interest of my money and have done NOTHING to resolve anything! I have called and emailed daily. Jay Patrick, Mike Rivers, and spoke to Jessica yesterday who said my 2018 tax liability was holding up the process. I do not owe anything for 2018, I have the IRS transcript.

I AM A SEVENTY-SIX YEAR OLD RETIREE WHO UNFORTUNATELYTRUSTED HONEST TAX TO HELP ME WITH MY 2021 FEDERAL TAXES. IN 2021 I HAD GONE TO H & R BLOCK WHO ASSESSED MY 2021FEDERAL TAXES AT $8900. I COULDN'T PAY THIS BILL BECAUSE IN 2020 AND 2021 I WAS HOSPITALIZED SEVERAL TIMES AND HAD MOUNTING MEDICAL BILLS. MIKE RIVERS, AN HONEST TAX REPRESENTATIVE, ASSURED ME HONEST TAX COULD HELP ME SO I TRUSTED HIM AND PAID $3400 FOR THEIR SERVICES. THEY CONTINUALLY ASSURED ME THAT I WOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY THE $8900 BILL. WHEN I FILED MY THIS YEAR'S TAXES WITH H & R BLOCK, I WAS THAT, IN FACT, I HAD TO PAY THE $8900 BILL TO THE IRS. IF HONEST TAX HAD BEEN HONEST, THEY WOULD HAVE TOLD ME TO WORK WITH THE IRS AND SET UP A PAYMENT PLAN WITH THEM TO PAY MY TAX DEBT. THAT WOULD HAVE SAVED ME $3400. DON'T TRUST HONEST TAX; THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR OWN SELFISH INTERESTS!!!

They took several thousand dollars from me but I got no results

Honest Tax gets it done ! Jaime my case manager made this whole nightmare a breeze got me a great deal with the IRS and put me on a solid payment plan . Grateful for them

I hired these clowns to do what they promised they could do. All they did was make my taxes increase because they did nothing except drag this thing on for literally years. They have done nothing but really mess my whole matter up and make it 10 times worse than when i first encountered them..I wouldn't hire these clowns to negotiate with a doghouse i found in the gutter cause itll just end up costing you thousands when it was originally free. Do yourself a big favor and stay clear of this so-called help you tax company. You'll be way further ahead if you take the fee that they are going to charge you and do nothing anyway and take that money and put it towards your tax debt. At least you'll be that much further ahead than just throwing your money out the window for these clowns to gather up and promise you a bunch of BS that will never happen.
nothing that they say will ever happen for you. don't listen to the high-pressure BS they lay on you. You'll be so sorry that you trusted them. They are the biggest rip-off and liars on the internet rip-offs. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY OR YOULL BE VERY SORRY AND TWICE THE DEBT THAN WHAT YOU STARTED WITH>.

This company took my money and did nothing to help me. Now they’re apparently out of business.
