Beautiful & Professional!

I absolutely love how easy it is to send my clients beautiful, professional documents that reflect my creative business.

It's a touch on the expensive side, but because it replaces QuickBooks (& other accounting software), the price makes sense. However, if the Starter Plan were dropped back to $20, I'd rate HoneyBook 5 stars!

I've been using Honeybook for 7 years…

I've been using Honeybook for 7 years now. Maybe 18 months ago I would've left it a 4-star review and described it as a helpful tool with lots of potential, but a few too many bugs to figure out first. But honestly, they've come a long way in getting more of the kinks out, and it's hard to imagine running my boutique wedding photography business without it. We use it as a client communication hub, for sending contracts and invoices, and for collaborating with wedding planners. We don't use any of the bookkeeping or scheduling tools, although I know they're built in. I'm no AI booster, and find it annoying in many of the places online that it's being forcibly incorporated. But the AI email assistant is actually super clutch! What would've taken me 6 ot 7 minutes to write now takes me just 90 seconds to retouch, saving me 5 minutes here and there 10 times a day. It really adds up across a week or a month or a year. Honeybook is NOT perfect, but I would still recommend it to other photographers and solopreneurs.

Overstyled mess

Overstyled mess, nothing makes sense. And everything takes too long to do.
Can’t wait to get rid of it

I think the HoneyBook program is a good…

I think the HoneyBook program is a good program, but the learning to use, it is difficult with no help from HoneyBook. I’ve had to use YouTube and trial and error and many hours to discover how to use HoneyBook efficiently. I wish that there was somebody from HoneyBook who could answer questions and help with education on using it effectively.

They are the same as all the other apps...

Its the same as all the other apps. They add in AI that people didn't ask for and raised the prices. The price increase happened about 2 days after I paid my ANNUAL fee last year, November 2024. I asked to cancel and get a refund because I wasn't interested in paying the increased price in 2025. They told me NO, I had to keep it and cancel next year (2025). That was very wrong to not give me a choice after I paid and they raised the price. They took away features and raised the price for the plan I was on.

The app is fine for what it does.

Not intuitive

Not intuitive. I set up all 7 steps and a week later it took me back to the step one and I had to restart all over.

You make your customers do unpaid work…

You make your customers do unpaid work to sort your development needs -- terrible! And you have gaping holes in your tool that need to be developed. You'll only survive until you get a competent and energetic competitor, I'm sorry to say.

Beware of hidden payment processing fees

Was never told there would be a processing fee for payments from my clients. This is outrageously annoying as I am already paying Honeybook $40 a month to use their services, and on top of this monthly fee they now have payment processing fees. Will NOT be using Honeybook anymore after I am finished with this client and will be switching to another form of payment as I do not want to continue to be stolen from.
