I've made several purchases from the Honnomushi Cat Bookshop, and they have been consistently amazing!
Opening a package from them really feels like receiving a birthday gift - any time of the year!
The selection available is always varied and interesting, including pre-owned manga for series I hadn't heard of before. The books come well packaged and with fast shipping. The owner herself is approachable (we've spoke via Instagram) and the little notes she sends with your purchases is a lovely personal touch.
The Honnomushi Cat Bookshop is now my go to for Japanese and Korean literature - it's a real hidden gem!

This is such a lovely small business! I love translated fiction, but it can be difficult to source from small bookshops, who I prefer to support. This website has such a vast range of Japanese and Korean books I was so impressed! I found four books I had never heard of, but all sound right up my street - one of which was recommended by the owner when I asked! I am so excited to read them and will absolutely be back for more! Dispatch was incredibly fast and they arrived so quickly, packaged perfectly so they were in great condition- the prices are also very good. I cannot fault my experience at all!

I made my first purchase from honnomushicatbooks and the delivery process was quick and smooth. I love the secure packaging and the cute bookmark that came with it.

I like to support small businesses when I can and I found a selection of manga from a series I am currently enjoying.

As expected from pre-owned manga, the prices are affordable and the condition does match the price for the most part. I was only a little disappointed when the book I paid for the most had marks and warps (around the cover) similar to one of the cheaper books I purchased which were both from the same series.

If you manage to find good deals then this shop is worth giving a try.

The lovely lady who runs this bookshop goes above and beyond to help. I had an issue where I couldn't use PayPal to order some books and Anna helped me sort it all out and very quickly too. When I was able to order the books they arrived so quickly and all the books were in excellent condition. Plus the packaging was absolutely beautiful!! Ordered a pile of pre-owned manga from Honnomushi Cat after a recommendation, and was really pleased with the prices, and delivery costs. Fast delivery and wonderfully packed. Will be ordering often from them for sure!
