No certificate and absolutely no…

No certificate and absolutely no contact.
After providing details and paying the higher fee for a quicker service. I was left with no certificate and contacted by no one from this company.
Really disappointing and wouldn't bother with this practice as you'll get left in the dark like myself. Pretty much a legitimate scam for the vulnerable.

Don’t waste your money.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. I only wish I had read the reviews beforehand.

I paid for a medical certificate for travel purposes for very legit reasons, however the service was ultimately not provided. While I understand that issuing medical certificates is at the practitioner’s discretion and there can be valid safety considerations, the process was not as simple or straightforward as advertised.

Despite being unable to deliver the service on the day it was required, only a 50% refund was offered, which feels unreasonable given the circumstances.

Overall, this experience did not align with the expectations set by HootHealth’s marketing, and I would encourage others to review all feedback carefully before purchasing.I ended up using another service provider that was not only cheaper, but much more efficient.

Hi Katrina,

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re genuinely sorry that this was your experience.

Medical certificates can only be issued at the discretion of the treating doctor after a clinical assessment, and in some cases additional review is required before a certificate can be issued. This means that while many requests are completed on the same day, timing cannot always be guaranteed.

In your case, we understand that the document was required urgently on the same day, and unfortunately the certificate was not issued within your required timeframe. After reviewing the situation, we agreed that this did not meet your needs and we have processed a full refund.

We appreciate you sharing your experience, and we are currently reviewing how we communicate time-sensitive requests to ensure expectations are clearer for patients in urgent situations.

We wish you and your family all the best.

Scam

Scam
Very disappointing experience. I paid $53.95 for an online medical certificate because I urgently needed documentation for a travel refund due to legitimate medical reasons. After payment was processed, I was advised that no certificate could be issued and that I would need to see a doctor in person.
While I understand that some medical matters may require an in-person assessment, this should be made clear before payment is taken so customers can make an informed decision about whether the service is suitable for their needs. Charging the full fee without providing the requested outcome feels unfair and caused unnecessary stress during an already difficult situation.
The service did not meet my expectations, and I believe clearer communication about assessment limitations is needed to avoid other customers experiencing the same frustration.

Dear Renee,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.

HootHealth provides online consultations with fully qualified Australian-registered doctors. Medical certificates are legal documents, and whether one can be issued depends on the doctor’s clinical assessment. In some cases, doctors may determine that an in-person examination is required to ensure the request meets appropriate medical and professional standards.

We understand that this can be frustrating, especially when documentation is needed urgently. While certificates cannot be guaranteed for every request, we do aim to be transparent about this in our service information.

As a gesture of goodwill, we have processed a full refund for your consultation, which should appear in your account shortly.

We appreciate your feedback and will continue working to improve the clarity of our service so patients can make informed decisions before requesting a consultation.

Kind regards,
HootHealth Team

Scam

Scam. Site is designed to take your money, not provide you with goods and refuse to refund you. Hoot Health is definitely taking advantage of the vulnerable. As a consumer, we have the right to a refund if we pay for goods and do not receive them.
I would advise everyone NOT to use this fake service. They will not provide you with a certificate. Just a waste of money. I am reporting this fraudulent site everywhere. Shame on them for pretending to be affiliated with APHRA to create a verisimilitude of plausibility, when they are nothing but an online scam.

Very hard to verify documents

Very hard to verify documents, you also need to pay to verify and even though I did. It took three hours for them to ask me what I wanted? and after repeating, with reciept of payment they just never responded and issued me a refund. Hard to comprehend when they issue on the spot cerificates within minutes.
