Overlanding in Oman Horizon Campervans

We hired a Horizon Campervans 4x4 for a week-long Oman road trip and it was the highlight of our year.

Handover in Muscat was easy. Mario (the owner) met us at a café, walked us through everything, and the van came with full water tanks, fuel, and even our groceries pre-stocked.

The off-grid setup is seriously impressive. We wild camped on the beach at Ras al Jinz, in the Wahiba Sands, and up in the Hajar Mountains, and the air conditioning ran all night off the battery. A game changer in Oman's heat. Solar topped it up during the day, and the WiFi on the truck meant we could even get some remote work done.

The truck (a Chevy Silverado) handled gravel tracks and mountain roads with zero drama, and unlimited mileage took all the stress out. If you're looking for an overland adventure or self-drive camping in Oman, this is the way to do it. Go further, stay longer! they really mean it. We'll be back next time!
