I have been with Hostgator for nearly 15 years as a reseller host and the service has been phenomenal. Their 24/7 live support is the best part. 5 stars from me. ⭐️
After many years it looks like I have to move to another company. You no longer support the reseller account I have and the only option is a significant increase in cost with actually less.
I am from Peru and HostGator is great, first I had reseller hosting with them for 7 years and now a vps and they helped me with all the migration of my accounts, the support is excellent and I feel confident because they help me every time I need them, many thanks HostGator.
I have been with a Hostgator Hosting Reseller for 16 years and the experience has gotten worse as the years progress. Now, it has become an insecure server, with serious security and access problems; where users who emit Spam are not penalized, harming the rest of the domains that share the same IP.
Technical Support is not such. They are teleoperators who limit themselves to giving standardized responses, without the ability to solve problems on the spot and having to escalate almost all incidents.
They carry out updates, both on the servers and in the custom portal that worsen the capacities and features, thus increasing prices.
After 16 years, I have migrated all of my clients' domains that were hosted on Hostgator to another hosting company.
Please train your novice agents. Your chat support is pathetic these days. They dont understand customer issue & comes with irrelevent solutions. Time wasting support.
Everytime I am creating new cpanel it has issue with automatic ssl installation. Please provide autossl option in cpanel.
Reseller hosting is no more available for purchase & thats not good decision. More disappointing is price hiked on existing reseller hosting.
No option for manual payment. It restricts me to automatic payment via paypal.
Hi! I have a reseller account, the sites are online but outgoing emails are very slow to arrive or never arrive.
For over 25 years now Hostgaor has helped allow me to be a reseller hosting provider to over 300 sites.
Well, I'm here because no one could help on hostgator support, after they change the control panel everything changes, I'm a 10 years+ customer and never facing what I'm facing now, support over chat is a disgrace, they lie to you, they are no helpful and seems they want you leave to get another phone call or someone else on the chat, before, they help you out from their side, now they give you directions and that's it, I don't know if they change the CEO of this company but what I have to say is that this company is no longer what was, recently I've passed through a migration service because they've cancelled my reseller even with a payment way on file and force me to buy an VPS Plan in order to keep my domains, witch what I did, and now I have a website tooo sloowww that is unusable and when I've try the support both chat and phone, no one is able to help me claiming that is a memory problem, so my solution is delete everything and start over, soon I'll leave this company because the hostgator in the past will not allow this and this what we have now isn't hostgator anymore, be advised... You'll have no support from this company, just someone that can answer the phone, that's it!
I have been with Hostgator for 15 years and they have changed for the worse. I am now leaving Hostgator with 5 different reseller accounts top go to a different hosting provider. Hostgator has terrible customer service now and no loyalty to their longtime customers.
FYI, HostGator has raised their prices and has completely eliminated the reseller plans for new customers. Run, don't walk the other way. Not only has the customer service gotten even worse than it was, they set your auto-renewal to default in your account. They are shoving their so-called web design packages in your face every time you go to sign in, and there is no US customer service at all! None that I could find. I'm now shopping for a new hosting company.
Hello, within the domain digitalpro.com.co there was the WHM that managed my reseller with many customer accounts, which each had their website, database, emails and each incoming and outgoing message in each inbox. The digitalpro.com.co domain is active but it is not loading normally, they asked me to buy a VPS plan to migrate everything that my previous Reseller had because they had backup from my clients' accounts.
But they told me that they were migrating from my old reseller plan to a VPS that I acquired. I would like to know what the status of that migration is since they have not sent me notifications, nor do I know what the process is. And it's been 5 days now, my accounts are down and I haven't been able to make progress on my tasks and clients call me that they need help.
Problem was not solved despite repeated chats and emails. I lost most of my reseller hosted sites and emails for a month. Support staff had no idea. They kept sending me cut/paste template email which was irrelevant.
Julius A helped me with Technical Support. I have often struggled when trying to get help with certain aspects of my Reseller Account but Julius solved all my issues and was very knowledgeable and efficient in finding answers to my questions. I had some additional questions and Julius was able to solve all the issues and leave me very happy with the results. Excellent, confident and friendly, a really great experience.
Not as good as it once was since corporate takeover, customer service is ridiculous, you have to wait on hold while they ask a upper level on most questions above, change my password. They offer to move website for a new hosting account, then just break the old website so it has to be done from scratch. And overall, it is not what it used to be. Looking for other service to move my reseller account to.
I am a reseller at Hostgator. I regularly work with a Supervisor by the name of Christian I.
The service provided by Christian is beyond exceptional and excellent.
Christian is very professional, very knowledgeable, very intelligent, humble, nice, easy to work with, always resolves the issue before he gets off the phone, super helpful, and just all around EXCELLENT!
Thank you, Hostgator, for providing such an excellent teammate to assist us. It is always a pleasure and very productive working with Christian.
I have been a client for over 10 years and HostGator has by far been the best hosting provider I've ever used. I've had a shared account, VPS, as well as a reseller account. I've hardly had any issues at all. When I've needed help with something, they have been super responsive - their chat (and phone) support line is second to none. If any technical follow-ups were required, they've always been extremely timely in getting back with updates. Would highly recommend HostGator.
I have been a customer of Hostgator since 2005 - and they have never failed to deliver the best of customer service ever since the day I started with them. I have purchased a Reseller Plan with them - and they promptly attend to all issues 100% of the time and has always assisted me to my 100% satisfaction. I highly recommend them.
May, our technical support at Hostgator was excellent with courtesy and expertise. As a reseller, my clients were very successful and happy working with her.
My Hostgator hosting went down yesterday. And it's still down today. Today is the second day that 10 companies inside my Hostgator reseller hosting account do not have their website accessible to the public, on the internet. This is so damaging, in so many ways. To have customers and potential customers arrive at the company website only to see "ERROR 503 - SERVICE UNAVAILABLE" is an embarrassment. It's disgraceful. Shame on you, Hostgator. I contacted Hostgator support 3 times yesterday. The first time, I explained the problem, the Hostgator representative informed me that Hostgator was aware of the problem, and a report was generated. Today is the second day that all 10 websites in my Hostgator hosting account are down. This is not only damaging to the reputation of these 10 businesses, but it's also damaging in regard to the years of search engine optimization efforts that have been made by people trying to have successful online businesses. Shame on you, Hostgator!
These hosting problems at Hostgator are happening way too often, and not enough effort is being made to protect Hostgator customers from having their businesses damaged.
1. Does Hostgator care about the damage being caused to these 10 businesses? If Hostgator currently has servers that are functioning properly, couldn't Hostgator make efforts to move the affected websites to a server that is working properly, so as not to expose ten businesses to further damages?
2. How many businesses are currently being adversely affected during these days with their websites down, thousands?
3. Does Hostgator feel that they should compensate the businesses that are suffering damage because of the Hostgator hosting problem, and if yes, how much compensation would be appropriate?
Yesterday, on my second of 3 attempts to resolve this problem with Hostgator, even though the server problem was already known to Hostgator, the Hostgator representative tried to convince me (in other words) that if I were to spend more money at Hostgator, and upgrade to a more expensive hosting plan, the problem could be resolved. Shame on you Hostgator, for focusing on increasing your profits while 10 companies are suffering damage in the Hostgator hosting server, when it was already known to Hostgator that their was a problem with the Hostgator hosting. I explained to the Hostgator representative that the server problem was already known to Hostgator but the Hostgator representative would not acknowledge the problem, and became rude. I reported this Hostgator representative. Does Hostgator care about the behavior of this Hostgator representative. If that Hostgator representative would have successfully convinced me to pay more money to Hostgator, how would that representative have been compensated?
I've been a Hostgator customer for approximately 15 years. I've been generally dissatisfied with the Hostgator hosting reliability, the feeling of being alone in these hosting crisis, the feeling that Hostgator doesn't care enough about so many businesses that are damaged in these crisis.
I feel trapped at Hostgator. Don't misinterpret my years at Hostgator as being a result of customer satisfaction. My years at Hostgator have more to do with feeling trapped at Hostgator in regard to the cost involved in moving 10 WordPress websites from Hostgator to a more reliable hosting company.
Hostgator, please fix the hosting server to help prevent more damage to the affected businesses.
I have been a HostGator reseller for 2 years, so far I have not had any major issues. When I did have a question or a problem I was able to call and get an answer to my questions with no problem at all. I have been very happy with no outages.
