If you care even 1% about your business, avoid HostGator India like the plague. Despite having an active hosting plan, all my websites suddenly went offline — no warnings, no maintenance notice, nothing.

To make it worse, my professional emails linked to the hosting also stopped working, cutting me off from clients and business completely. This kind of downtime is beyond unacceptable for any hosting provider, especially one that claims to be "reliable."

Their customer support? Completely useless — slow responses, robotic replies, and zero accountability. Meanwhile, my business suffers daily financial losses, and they act like it’s no big deal.

If you’re considering HostGator India, run in the opposite direction. Your business deserves better.

THEY ARE SCAMMER- Suspend the account without any proper information citing disk usage , but disk is not even 70% occupied ,

They always ASKto UPgradde to VPS , Never deal with company , after few months they scams you ,

worst provider, they present the business email in such way that customer not aware of 5 accounts when customer look for one account and loot customer. Never go with Hostgator india.

One of my worst decision to purchase email services form these guys. Very unprofessional and unreliable.
Just wonder how these service provider compete with quality players!!

Taking their service is a nightmare for small e-commerce businessss Worst kind of service
3 days after my website went live ..it shut down for server maintenance without notice..
No refund policy.. they straight up rob u even after paying in full amount for a year..

I have 2 cloud servers and I am facing downtime frequently for the last 6 months but they failed to resolve my issue and I lost business because of that. I told them but still, they are not taking this seriously. Anyways, I am going to raise a complaint in the consumer forum India as they claim a false promise of 99.9% uptime.

It is THE WORST hosting company I have ever encountered!!!

I am on the BABY plan and ALL MY websites are down since yesterday and they are not even resolving the issue. I never faced such an issue with any other hosting company.

Customer care doesn't reply.

Even if websites load occasionally they are extremely slow (even on 5G).

Shame on the company!

Hostgator is a cheater in case of shared windows hosting...they have old hardware and selling them with false claim. So windows share hosting buyer do not waste your time and money it's a sincere appeal to those who do not know about them.

The worst hosting I have ever used. Don't buy hosting from host gator. Especially hosting in bulk for more than 1 year. I'm sure you will be not satisfied with their hosting. They have 45 days return policy. But what after 45 days? I have purchased hosting for 2 years. Before purchase, I have asked their sales executive that my site will need hosting to handle the following things. I have mentioned my point. They told me that yes sir go with 2 years. You will not fetch any issues. After purchase, I have hosted 5 sites on hosting. For few months my all sites are running fine with good performance. Now 3 months passed. My server speed goes down day by day. My one site goes close. So it does not have any visitors. I have migrated my 2 big sites to another hosting in hope that my 2 sites get good performance. But nop. My 2 sites are not running smooth. Even sometimes the server is taking 20+ seconds to respond. I have tested in GTMetrix. I have reached host gator support. They told me that I need to optimize my website. I have done that. Again same issue. They now told me that I have to optimize my database. I have done that as well. But still the same issue. Now they told me that my website is reaching per hour database connection limit. No one has mentioned this thing while making a purchase. I have asked for all limitations but no one has mentioned this. Now they are saying to go with the VPS plan. What host gator want is, just when a customer buys hosting in bulk, after some time forces him to update to VPS by decreasing the current resources.

Horrible experience worst hosting i ever purchased. I bought it on yearly basis for two years it was working ok. than i paid for 3 years and after 10 days my sites are taking 10 minutes to load normal wordpress sites with no images. i wrote to them please do something about your slow server and refund my money. they immediately closed my account and all my client sites are lost. i was not having a backup and struggling from last 3 days to get backup from them. neither i received refund for my remaining hosting credit as mentioned by some so called admin. please please please choose some other host.

This is a direct copy paste of my chat with Hostgator support. Read this and decide whether or not to get their service. I bought 3 year wordpress hosting and it is going very slow and terrible. I regret for not checking trustpilot before making my purchase.

yesterday it wasn't loading at all and when i contacted you, you said it was Apache server issue and have restarted it
and it didnot fixed the issue so i contacted you again and it got fixed and site loaded in 5-10 seconds which is still slow but better than 30 seconds

It is loading fine here when I check.
On the Mobile as well its openeing.
I dont know how that is happening. It just isnt working in my phone, my laptop and I came here for support because my customers told me site isn't working

I would like to know what caused it?

I think host gator is the worst hosting provider in India. Dnt trust them and please dnt purchase from hostgator. I am using re seller hosting and in one year, i files about 20 tickets and chat with them about 100 times and all the issues are same. On all ticket they reply that everything is fine as they reply in 2-3 days . Its like a joke. I files a ticke todya and they will reply after 2-3 days that website is working fine.
Today,, i am chatting with them. They handle many customers at a time. My all websites are down because my Mysql of offline from their end.

2-hr application pool reset - Did you know this?

After transferring our website and hosting, users having trouble as they were being thrown out from the website. We came to know that Hostgator resets the application pool every 2 hours.

I called up and chatted with their representatives to enquire - why was such a crucial constraint was not shown on the website. He says - this can not be published on website.

So, be open for this surprise.

The option suggested - move to VPS or Dedicate and pay multiple times.

Now, all over again, I have to move our websites to another location, this is frustrating.

Update: So far no calls from your side. Waiting, my customers are complaining.

Latest Update: Its more than 3-4 days and still no response. It seems it was written here just to have a response mentioned.

We had an account with host gator India. We were facing some issues in regards to website speed. we called and and the technical staff informed that the website is running fine but it almost took a minute to load all the content.
Due to this we decided to go with blue host and did not make the payment for the hosting subscription.
After calling for the website files the technical staff informed that there will be a charge of more then 1000 Indian rupees to get the files which is no where mentioned on the website, instead the staff said that we can also not mentioned that even we have not mentioned that we will provide the files for free.
please do not go with Host gator, the company sucks in terms of speed and customer services. It is strange that they are charging for the files once the account is suspended. they are forcing to either be with host gator or pay to get your website files.

worst service never choose them... I had very bad experiense... totally losed website data, somehow I have recovered and now I am with domainracer. they are seem to be so promise and best for my freelancing websites.

Be aware Host-gator Fraud !!!!!!!

I am using Host gator shared re-seller server and it's getting down 5 times in hour from last 25 days, I am calling and emailing to the support and admin team, But nobody are helping neither refund my money. Be aware Host-gator Fraud !!!!!!!
