Hotelrunner's software interface is great, it is very simple to use and I can access all the data I want. Whenever there is a problem, someone from the team solves my problem quickly. I looked at HotelRunner as a possible operations system for my hotel. I started out with the Basic Plan so I could examine the program, I then signed up for the HotelRunner Plus Plan which markets itself as a budget-friendly all-inclusive plan, which it said, and I quote “Property Management Systems (PMS) connectivity and payment methods integrations are included in your plan”. Which, I found out, after, I signed up for the monthly payment… They are not!
So what was I paying extra for with the HotelRunner Plus Plan? I still don’t know!
With this new knowledge in hand, I inquired into what the monthly plan for the PMS would be. At that point, I was told it was not a monthly plan but a yearly payment of close to a $1000 US upfront. I told the salesperson that I needed a monthly plan due to this new hotels budgetary constraints and if they didn’t provide that type of service then I would have to discontinue their system, at which point I told them I wanted to cancel my subscription! I was then locked out of my account!
I emailed them stating that I had still paid for a month, so why was I locked out… I didn’t hear anything back, which I took as a sign that my subscription had been canceled!
A month later I got a charge on my credit card… it was a subscription fee from HotelRunner. I emailed customer service and basically got accused of not canceling properly, to which I told them that it was they who locked me out of the system! They didn’t care! They did eventually let me back into the system so I could cancel the subscription ‘properly", but the system wont let me cancel because now they’ve added extra fees and commissions to the account! We are now in a circular argument where, despite my explanations, they insisted that I have to pay the extra fees and continuing subscription fees and won’t let me cancel the subscription until the are paid. And I refuse to be extorted for charges that wouldn’t have been there if they hadn't locked me out of the system in the first place! After a month of back and forth emails, they now seem to imply that they would refund the charges, but only if I continued as a customer! Again extortion tactics...
It is an absolutely horrific way for a company to treat customers or potential customers! I think people should know just how deceitful and unprofessional this company has been! This is my third hotel, for which I have used other operations systems, HotelRunner looked like a good budget-friendly solution for our new hotel, however, I will not use any product, or service with this kind of unethical operational practice! You shouldn't either…
The app that makes life easier
I used to work with several agencies in my
hotel because I managed them individually, but since I met Hotelrunner, my number of agencies has increased and its management has become easier. Now I manage all my bookings from Hotelrunner dashboard. It is a great convenience to
manage my reservation details, room
quotas and prices from a single page. When I am outside the hotel, I can easily close my room for sale and process my new reservation in the system thanks to Hotelrunner mobile application. I can easily recommend it to everyone around me.
DON'T put your credit card info!!!
I applied for the free trial they offer. The site was terrible from start to finish. It didn't recognize reservations, It mixed up my calendars. User interface way too complex, and I simply didn't want to continue using it.
THEY WON’T REMOVE MY CARD AND STOP CHARGING ME. They are asking for me to do some manual labor for them in order to remove it. 0/10 worst PMS, worst support. Don't get involved with this scummy company.
We are working with Hotelrunner from January 2016.
Foe many years Hotelrunner was our excellent partner, any issue addressed was answered immediately.
Because of something that happened in the last couple of months, to work now with the Hotelrunner is a kind of nightmare.
1. The new security update is forcing us to log out and login endlessly. On one and the same device, the system is logging us forcefully, in the middle of an operation. This is happening like tens of times during the day. We addressed the issue, was advice to share our public IPs, we shared, nothing has changed.
2. Certain promotions, like "GEO" rates stopped working, they are not editable, new ones is not allowed to be created. We addressed the problem, no feedback.
3. The most recent, general issue is that when the potential guest is trying to book, the booking button shows first the best promo rate, but on the second step after the room has been chosen, is reverting to the rack rate. We are not able to find out why this is happening, we are not able to explain it to the clients and they prefer to book another property or to book trough another booking platform. That's the worst thing that can happen to a hotel - to lose clients. We addressed the problem. From the Hottelrunner - scaring silence.
We are truly sorry that after so many years, we can be eventually forced to change our connectivity partner.

We have been working with Hotel Runner for about 4 (four) years. They have set up a good system. They also solve minor problems that may occur in an instant with a professional understanding. For now, we only work as a reservation provider. We know that the PMS system is excellent. In the future, we are considering making use of the PMS system. Thanks to Hotel Runner.
Its system is very easy to use and intuitive. It has many useful features and lots of options to configure the system just the way you want it. Very good support service and very proactive and friendly staff. I especially like their channel manager and booking engine.

Not really happy and satisfied with Hotelrunner services:
- The application of Hotelrunner doesn't function on mobile!
- Many issues between agencies (platforms) connectivity and the channel manager like Mapping, availability, and calendar issues that cause Overbooking, etc...
- The Monthly subscription cost every month different and high!
- customer service takes always a long time to solve problems, Sometimes we don't receive a response about our requests from the person in charge!
hotel runner is a very good solution partner. I recommend it especially for those who work with many tourism companies. You can manage all availability and price entries from a single platform.

You may never contact customer service by phone. If it's the weekend, I don't know how many hours later it will be back to you if the employee will contact you by writing. I just use it for a habit that has been around for many years. If you don't buy pms, you can't even see weekly availability. You have to look one by one

Very useful product for hoteliers. With its book engine, channel management system, property management system and also free website with different templates options, it helped our business to increase our online sales. Support team works on weekends too so anytime we have questions, its easy to receive a response from support team.
