Absolute Rip Off and Deceptive Scumbags

They hijack the hotel booking page and then charge you additional fees over and above what you could book for directly on the hotel site. Forget trying to cancel as they will just keep your money. The reservation shows up as a Travelocity charge.

Fraud Fraud Fraud lairs

Like many have said this company hijacks customers. I was looking for a reservation at the downtown Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront Portland, OR 97201 and thought I was on the hotels site. It was not. After confirming the reservation I noticed the room charge was much higher them shown before. I called Marriott and found out I was scammed>> They were very difficult to work with with and would not refund the room even after Marriott agreed to cancel for not charge. I am now disputing the charges.. (yes plural) from this scam.

They are a money-grab organization - no savings involved

It all comes down to the math. I made a booking originally through this website for a hotel in Leduc, Alberta Canada. The cost came out the same as when I booked it through the hortel directly the week before. However, there was an additional $20 fee added to the total in the "fees and taxes" section above the total I would have gotten through the hotel directly. When I cancelled the reservation a few minutes later, I lost a $10 "non-refundable" processing fee. Had I cancelled my reservation 24 hours later, I would have lost my whole reservation cost! I don't see any benefit to booking through this website. When I later booked through the hotel itelf for the same cost without the extra fees, it included a cancellation policy that allowed me to cancel for free up to the day I arrive, with no "non-refundable" processing fees.

Deceiving company that, to my surprise, is somehow associated with Travelocity

Like many others have experienced, I thought I was booking a reservation for a hotel directly from the hotel site and found out via email that it was made through HotelSavings.com. When I received an email confirmation for my reservation I saw that the price was way different then the one that was originally presented to me (about $50 too high). I called HotelSavings.com about 3 minutes after booking to find out that I could not alter or cancel my reservation without a $100 cancellation fee. Their customer service was horrible. I then called the hotel (a Best Western) to try and cancel reservation and they said they could not since it was through a third party which showed up as Travelocity (I have since learned that Travelocity is somehow associated with HotelSavings.com). I have used Travelocity many times and thought it was a legit site, but I now question that premise. I called Travelocity and asked them to cancel the reservation and all they would do is transfer to me a company called WCT. I was on hold for over 30 minutes and then heard the same BS about a no cancellation policy. I will never trust HotelSavings .com and I will now never again use Travelocity. I ended up filing a disputed claim with my credit card company.

Crooked, deceptiver outfit, avoid.

This outfit presented a website designed to appear to be the Marriott's. We booked the wrong date, which we saw as we clicked the reservation, and immediately cancelled. They refused and even charged an additional fee. They chided us for cancelling.

Hijacked Marriot Web Site Stole MONEY

I went to Marriot Web Site to book a room and ended up here without clicking on their site. I am not interested in these guys. They did refund my money except for a $9.95 cancellation fee. I cancelled within less than 5 minutes. They charged $10.00 dollars more than the rate shown on the REAL Marriot Site. Marriot needs to STOP these RIP OFF Artist from HiJacking their site. Otherwise I will NO LONGER book at Marriot!!

Hijacked Marriott web site

I used Google to search for Marriott Bethesda, an it came up first on the listing. I had Marriott points I wanted to redeem and too late I discovered I was not on the Marriott site. I was quoted the same price that I eventually got from Marriott , but they charged me $39.95 for room taxes instead of the $13.99 that Marriott quoted.

I immediately called them back to cancel my reservation, but they informed me that there was a $9.95 cancellation charge, and it may take up to 30 days for them to process my refund. Now I am worried as they do have my credit card number on file. This is outright fraud!

FRAUD

While searching for a specific Marriott hotel via a search engine, the first thing that came up with the exact hotel was not actually the hotel site but HotelSavings.com. The one thing this ripoff site is not is savings. I was in a hurry so ignored by observation that the taxes AND FEES seemed to be double the other hotels I had looked at in exactly the same location. So on top of charging the same exact price as the hotel would charge through it's own reservations system (NOT savings at all!) it charges you an extra fee as well as CHARGING YOU IMMEDIATELY and CHARGING a cancellation fee if you cancel. It appears, again, to have the same cancellation policy as the hotels, i.e. you can cancel up to the day before you have booked, BUT THEY CHARGE you a cancellation fee whenever you cancel. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE. I'm reporting them to Google next and my credit card company.

Who owns this rip-off company???

This company is totally out to rip you off!! I went to customer service over a dispute and got no cooperation. The rep wouldn't give me the name of his supervisor, the name of their parent company or where the parent company is located. He did tell me that he was located in India

Took my $500 and gave me no room!

WE booked a reservation on hotel savings.com for 2 nights in New Orleans. They gave us a price and i booked it for around $450. When I went to my online banking, they charged me $511 and then an additional $9.99!!!!! I never received a confirmation for the room and went to their website. I saw my confirmation but when I went to email it again, it said the website wasn't working. Then I hit the cancel button trying to see if it would come to a different screen. It went to the same broken website screen. Then I clicked back and my non-refundable reservation was CANCELLED!!!!!!!!!!! WE called and they refused over and over to just give me my room back that I paid $500 for!!!!!!!! Total pieces of crap! I will be posting this everywhere! SHADY!

Totally Dishonest - Website Does NOT Function Properly. Double Booked - Charged Twice for 1 Room

I went online to Hotelsavings.com website. I clicked on the button to reserve 1 King room for 2 people. After filling out my credit card info., a message popped up that said they were not able to process my reservation at that time. I came back to the website later & proceeded to book 1 King room for 2 people. I entered my credit card info., & a confirmation popped up that I had successfully booked 1 King room for 2 people. I was NOT sent a confirmation e-mail as promised on the website. When I arrived at the Hotel the following week, the staff said that my 2 King rooms were ready!
What! I only booked 1 room online. Well, we can't answer for Hotelsavings.com. We only book what they request & we cannot refund your account either!..I spent the next hour after I checked in trying to resolve this booking error over the phone with a man who was impossible to understand as he spoke a broken India dialect! He was very rude, said I booked 2 rooms & argued with me. I was put on hold for 1/2 hr. I hung up & called back twice. The third customer non-service guy said that he understood the problem & was taking care of it by cancelling the extra room. I am now waiting to receive my Mastercard billing to see if they will refund the $245.00 I was charged for the Double booking. They will not refund $9.99 service fee that they charged. The room I booked was quoted @ $195.00 - My billing was $245.00. There was no explanation for the extra charges. DO NOT USE HOTELSAVINGS.COM They will NOT save you money! They have many hidden fees. This has been a nightmare, rather than a relaxing hotel stay.

OMG!!! THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL FRAUD

Booked a room online with this company Hotelbooking .com ,reservation made for Hampton Inn and Suites in Salem Oregon, address given by person online, then false confirmation number given. Show up to hotel, they have no reservation for us, were very nice at the front desk and called around to 12 other properties and could not find a reservation number that matched. When you check your credit card the charge will not be posted until you have been charged as a no-show. Complete fraud, when you try to call them to get this resolved they leave you on hold for the first time 45 minutes before our call was disconnected, then I put them on speaker and they left me on call for 3 hours and 40 minutes before I hung up and called back and insisted that they not put me on hold and our call was immediately disconnected. I then contacted my credit card company , to make a fraud complaint.

HI-JACKED the Best Western reservation site

We used our smart phone to book a room on BestWestern.com, or so we thought. The person on the phone said nothing about being an agent for HotelSavings.com. The short story is: HotelSavings billed us $17.00 more than what Best Western would have charged had we called the hotel directly, Plus HS charged us a $9.95 service fee. There's more: We booked for the BW in Wakeeney, KS (the hotel & staff were great), but when we got our credit card statement, we discovered HS also booked us for the same night at the BW in Zion, IL & charged us an additional $130.72. HS would not reverse the charge for the second room, because we "failed to cancel" the 2nd reservation, which we knew nothing about until the credit card statement arrived. We had received no confirmation emails. BEST ADVICE: Call the hotel directly for reservations, and save yourself some aggravation by NOT USING Hotelsavings .com. There are no savings. We're disputing the charge with our credit card company

RIP OFF ALERT!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!

I thought I was booking a reservation for a hotel directly from the hotel site and to my dismay I find out via email that it was made through HotelSavings.com. I received a confirmation for my reservations only to find out the wrong dates were booked. I called them 5 minutes after booking to find out I have to cancel the reservation and rebook. This will cost me the 9.95 they charged me without knowing. Luckily I just cancelled and asked for a refund of $345 minus the $9.95. According to the non-english speaking person (from india) I will receive my refund in 7-10 days. 14 days later still no refund. Now another non-english speaking person (from india) says it will be 30 days (lol). Dont bother waiting for the refund. File a charge back with your credit card company immediately. This is the only way you will get your money back. Trust me. They want you to delay so they can say its past the 60 days window for the chargeback. Filing charge backs is the only way to hurt this company. Eventually the bank will shut down their merchant account. I work hard for my money. I dont need some garbage company stealing it. Next time you book a hotel online, make sure its not with HotelSavings.com (RIP OFF) HotelSavings.com (RIP OFF) HotelSavings.com

Billed instantly, did not pass on reservation info, awaiting refund resolution.

Beware this website!

Even though we'd directly typed the name of our intended hotel into a search, this website mimicked their address and accepted and billed a reservation, providing a confirmation number that was useless on our arrival at the property.
Though we did not have a valid reservation, the hotel graciously came up with a room for us at 20% less than what the site billed us.
Efforts by our bank to obtain a refund were met with s 15 minute hold, and stonewalling until we were told that a refund would take 7-10 days to process.

Beware of HotelSavings.com!

This service has hidden charges that they say are described on their webpage. I'm still looking for this information. It was not clear to us that we would be assessed a $9.95 charge when we booked the room at the Best Western (Dodge City, KS) hotel. We thought we were booking the room through Best Western's website.

Given that HotelSavings.com completely messed up our booking by charging the wrong credit card, and that we are still waiting for a proper receipt for our stay, we are at a loss to understand what 'service' HotelSavings.com provided for the unexpected charge of $9.95.

We will certainly not make the mistake of booking hotel rooms through HotelSavings.com in the future. Additionally, we will alert our contacts, friends, and family via our Facebook, Yelp, and Travel Advisor accounts about the 'service charges' so that they don't make the same mistake. We will also notify Best Western about poor service its customers can expect from HotelSavings.com.

Wouldn't Use Again

I booked one stay through hotelsavings.com and was pleased however after making a second reservation and receiving a bad promo code from them they would not fix the issue. I compare prices including promo codes to get the best deal. I could have gotten a better deal without the promo code at Hotels.com. I will not be using them in the future because I tried to get the issue resolved by contacting them by email immediately and a phone call later in which no one would fix the problem. They were just trying to blame a expired promo code but I had received the promo code the same day I tried to use it, bad advertising if you ask me. They told me once you made the reservation there was nothing they could do however, under their FQA they say if you find a better deal in 24 hours they will refund you money so I don't see the difference. Anyways will not use them again good customer service is the key and it is definitely lacking with this company. Not to mention I could hardly understand the representative I was talking to.
