Maggie and Steve were wonderful and very reassuring that the dogs would be well looked after as well being very thorough with making sure they had all the information they needed so they would be able to take care of the dogs just as we do.

We used House and Home Sitters for our 3 days trip aboard. At home we had Giuseppe who looked after our dog and took care of everything. We have found our dog very happy, he was on walks with Giuseppe and also they had great time together. It was our first time when we used this kind of service and definitely not the last one. It was Chris & Tanya's first house and animal sit for us so we were a little anxious but we had no reason to worry! The dogs were chilled, the horses were well looked after and the house was left in perfect order. Thank you :-)

Our 12 year old rescue Labrador, Cara, had previously always been looked after in our absence by our dear neighbour. Due to health issues, he was no longer able to do this and we were really struggling with the notion of leaving her with strangers. Kennels were out of the question due to her background and advice from the RSPCA.
House and Home Sitters was recommended to us by a trusted friend, who spoke most highly of her experience with Dave and the team.
All communications with Dave were Cara centred and he was determined to find the right sitters for our gentle girl, with her set routines and typical Labrador traits. Chris and Keith were a perfect choice with their experience, obvious love of dogs and genuine desire to make sure that everything was exactly as she would wish. All paperwork required from us was detailed and again, very specific to make sure that Cara would be safe and happy.
Our first conversation with Chris and Keith confirmed for us that we had made the right choice in using House and Home sitters and upon their arrival in our home, the evening before an early departure for our flight, we felt as though we were meeting good friends and that our holiday had started there and then. They took in their stride our traditional last minute packing kerfuffle and we were waved off feeling reassured that Cara was in safe hands.
Once on holiday, the daily updates and photos received were lovely and it was great to see Cara looking so happy and relaxed. Plants were being watered, bin collections organised and deliveries accepted on our behalf. We had not really considered the positive benefits of having someone in the house during our absence, Cara being our priority, but it was a real bonus and again, provided great reassurance.
We were always due to arrive home in the early hours but due to delays in all aspects of the journey we eventually got back at 04.15. A light had been left on for us, along with milk in the fridge and bread and flapjack on the kitchen worktop. Chris had left a detailed note about the week’s events and telling us to make sure that we caught up on our sleep. We knew that Chris and Keith needed to be away by 8am and so I got up to bid them farewell at about 7.45am. With no noise whatsoever, they had already left, having washed and put on airers their towels and bedding, fed Cara and safely dropped their keys through the letterbox.
From the very first email exchange with Dave, right through to the moment that our sitters, Chris and Keith left the house upon our return home, the levels of professionalism and reassurance were exemplary. Dave’s communications are always prompt, friendly and caring. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Home and House Sitters and are now able to become excited at the prospect of booking some more adventures, safe in the knowledge that we can rely upon Dave to be a reliable part of our planning.

We can not thank Debbie & Jim enough for the way they looked after our 2 elderly dogs and home for 3 weeks while we wizzed around Spain & France.

Christine and David have just completed a week long house sit for us and we couldn't recommend them more highly. They had a lot to deal with, including looking after a very energetic one year old Lab, 6 hens, and a large garden with a vegetable patch. They rose to the challenge and we returned home to a very happy pup and hens, a clean home and a flourishing garden. Bobbi, our Lab, even enjoyed a day at the seaside! With lots of messages and pictures we were kept in the loop and reassured all the time that all is well at home. We are very grateful to them both, and also to Dave for once again providing a top notch service!

This is our third time using H&H Sitters while we are away from home, and once again they have exceeded our expectations. Our sitter Pip was fantastic and so lovely to communicate with while we were away. We received daily updates from "Pepper" as well as notes from Pip. When we arrived home, she had even baked us a lemon drizzle cake and our house smelled heavenly! Highly recommended (again) and we will certainly be booking in the future.

Highly recommended. Communications were great all round, and our house sitter did an exemplary job. Will definitely be using them again.

Update Apr-23: since my original review we've gone on to use House and Home sitters several more times and each time Dave has found us great sitters who we've been really happy with. Even better, we've been able to get some repeat home sitters who are already familiar with the home and pets.

We have used House and Home sitters for the first time, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. We didn’t want to leave our dog in kennels, and this was the ideal solution for him, and us. Margaret was excellent in keeping us updated daily, with photos, and looked after our dog as if he was her own. Margaret left the house sparkling clean, and everything was back in its proper place. We are so delighted that we have booked Margaret, via House and Home sitters again for September this year. If you are looking for an honest, reliable, company look no further.

Was first time for us using house & home sitters Ltd. Will definitely use their service again. Had no problems at all. Cliff was our sitter and looked after our senior dog, our cat and fed my 3 fish tanks. Cliff was very flexible and helped us out with an extra date as we had our departure date wrong. Good communication and our pets and home was well looked after.

I used to take my dog to the kennels, but was never happy to do so. I always wanted someone to look after my dog in our house while we are away but felt uncomfortable to let a stranger stay in my house. I thought I would give House & Home Sitters Ltd a chance and see how it goes. I was very pleasantly surprised. Toddy looked after our little Bella. When we came back our house was just as tidy and neat as we had left it and Bella was very happy and content. I used House & Home Sitters whilst away on holiday. Dave was brilliant, super responsive and he was able to identify Ian quickly to support with looking after our cats and dog. Will definitely use again. Ian looked after our animals and home really well and all the animals were happy when we arrived home too.

Richard sat for our Cockerpoo for a week. Our dog requires lots of attention and Richard took him for lots of walks. He communicated so well throughout our experience with him. Dave at House and Home was so friendly and helpful. Never expected to get a sitter for Christmas, but in no time Dave had found Delia and Kenny for us.They were excellent, keeping us informed about our cats and sending photos.
On our return the cats were quite settled and obviously well looked after. The house was beautifully clean and tidy. So happy we have booked them again for our holidays next week.

House & Home sitters impressed us from the outset. We needed a house and dog sitter for our 7 month old puppy fairly last minute as our house-sitter cancelled. We contacted Dave as his company was recommended to us by a friend. Within days we were connected to Duncan. We felt a bit anxious about leaving our home and beloved puppy in the care of a stranger for over 2 weeks but we needn't have worried! Duncan has been wonderful. He reassured us daily with messages and pictures that all is going well and puppy is doing great. Even storm Eunice, which caused havoc over here with power cuts and fallen down trees blocking our road, did not faze him. He made the best of the situation and let us know that all is under control and we don't need to panic. We came home to a wonderfully clean house and a very happy, well fed and surprisingly clean dog! We can't recommend Duncan enough and will definitely be using his service again. Dave has been great, the administration was all very smooth with clear communication throughout. We are very grateful, thank you both very much. A five star service indeed!
