My family and I are homeless because of this. We are living in hotel with 3 children one is only 2. They took our money for a house we paid security deposit and a months rent. Went to 1 house told them there was someone living in the home. They contacted me about another house that was empty. But was owned by someone else. They are nothing but scammers!!!! Beware they are now use SC phone numbers also. If you call and they don't answer but will text you right back. They are the scammers.

This site is a fraud ! They attempted to rent a house that they do Not own ! Beware !!!

This website has no business existing. I became aware of it when a woman showed up at our house asking if we were moving out (we had just moved in). Obviously, she was being scammed and luckily she hadn't given the scammers any money or real personal information as of yet.

When I went on the website to find the listing for our house, it was immediately obvious to me that nearly all of the listings were scams. We know the area very well as we have looked at numerous rental properties here for two moves. Many of the listings were so absurdly low, they could not be real--and several of the properties looked familiar as they are rented through the property management company we use. The pictures were all cropped to remove the name of the management company.

I only say all of this because most rental websites make at least a cursory effort to filter out scams; Housesforrent makes no such effort. It's so laughable that when you click on the "About" section on their website, it basically says, "Hey! We'll take down your house if it's been placed on our site because of a scam, but it's not our fault! We don't put things up--scammers do!"

Any Internet-savvy person would avoid this website like the plague, or at least cross-check their findings with other (real) websites, but, until then, there is a non-zero chance that some Saturday morning, my family's going to wake up to the sound of a moving truck in our driveway and someone fumbling with our door because their fake house key doesn't work...

Beware! Nigerian Scammers Use This Site!

Nigerian scammers use this site and offer very low rent prices to lure their victims. The owner of the site does nothing to protect site visitors except to warn not to wire money to anyone.

I recently surveyed 5 page in 5 states and found over 95% of the listings in the 5 states were scammers. There's way more scam ads on the site than there are legitimate ads.

Housesforrent.ws and Rentspeed.com are operated by the same person and are on the same web server.

Shame on this website operator for not doing more to protect site visitors. There's a lot that can be done and this site operate is not doing anything besides posting a reminder not to send wire any funds.

Use these sites at your own risk people and remember if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is in deed a scam!
