TWO Dead units and NO Resolution

Received a DOA unit from Amazon as an X-Mas present, contacted their support who advised to swap it via Amazon, did that and the SECOND one also arrived DOA. Followed back up with Hover-1 and they will no respond. Avoid this brand at ALL COST.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I bought 2 hover board go kart's for Christmas. We open them charge them and nothing! They do not work. We call both phone numbers on the pamphlets and put on hold for "the next available representative" who never answered. Emailed them they asked for us to send a video, we send the video and no response, nothing! They do not stand behind their product!
Do not buy from this company!

Only get a one star because I have to…

Only get a one star because I have to rate. Got the my first hoverboard as a gift for my child. Turned on initially but needed charged. Hasn’t worked since. I bought a new charger from the site in hopes it was a charger defect. It took a month for delivery and did not fix the issue. It was a gift so I don’t have the receipt and family that purchased is unable to return due to the timing. I reached out to hover 1 support and was told to return to the original store or they can accept back with the receipt. I had already told them the situation and obviously don’t have a receipt. They also won’t accept the charger back, even with the receipt because “all sales final”. Horrible company. 0/10 recommend.

We should have read the reviews first before we ordered. My husband is had me to order a charger for a scooter. The person he spoke with said they had it in stock.I ordered the charger Oct 10, they immediately took the money from my account. It has ticket numbers. We have not received the charger and it's Oct 25.
The phone number goes to a automated recording telling you contact them through email I have numerous times . It automatically responds. There no assistance. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They will take your money and you won't receive anything in return. CROOKS!!! It's probably not a real website. I am going to report them to the Better Business Bureau and whoever else I can. I have requested them to return my money.

Horrible customer service

Im replying to hover-1 reply to me.
I relize its out of warranty! Duh! Why cant you assist people with simple questions
? It should not matter if they are in or out of warranty. You should always provide care for a product you sell in america. Get the hell outta here with your chit china crap. just bought a never opened hoverboard from a neighbor. I had a question about the charging capacity. I sent hover1 a ticket about it and they won't help me. They won't help people that are not the original owner and out 9f warranty. How's that customer service?!

Ben, please understand as products not obtained from an authorized retailer, we are unable to know the condition of. This includes the entire unit including the battery as batteries over charged and or under charged can and will affect unit performance. information you are requesting is in fact available on our website and in the unit manual, keeping in mind this is if the unit is in optimal condition which we are unable to verify.

My son road it around house once and I put it away. Did not like!!! A few years later now that he is older I pull it out. Battery won't work and they would not honor because warranty up. It is literally brand new and they won't honor giving me a new battery. Sold a piece of crap my son got as a gift and they DONT CARE!!! DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCTS FROM THEM!!!!

I was riding the hoverboard when it died and tossed me off forward, I got ripped up pretty bad! This is dangerous, there should be some type of warning when the battery is low instead of it stopping and throwing people off!

Accident

My friend and I where riding around with no problem when the scooter desides to die, which lead us flying almost in front of a moving truck. Lucky we are ok but have many open wounds. Also when we purchased our scooter we had a ruff time tying to fix it because it had come broken. Other then those situations it’s a fun thing to own but be careful you never know what could happen.

No support after I sent them battery back

No response, they asked me to send them back battery for hoverboard (Recalled Item) , and they haven’t send the replacement and no response to emails.
Please be careful to deal with this company.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever! I bought one for my son for Christmas and after using it in doors for about two weeks it started rolling forward all the sudden and digging into the ground. I submitted a ticket in January. It’s now May and still nothing! I’ve tried calling and a recording tells you to submit a ticket. I want my money back!

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful. They sent a product that was less money than the one I paid for. They never responded to multiple requests to return what was sent in exchange for what I actually ordered. Finally gave up and tried to assemble the product they sent, only to find multiple parts missing. Again no response to messages sent. Do not buy anything from this horrible place.

VERY SLOW SHIPPING

VERY SLOW SHIPPING
I ordered a scooter 6 days ago and no tracking. Item has not been shipped. I ordered from Hoover 1 rideables based on the fact they are local to me in CA and assumed this company knew how to do their jobs and process an order. I should have known better since the first one I ordered was defective.
BUYERS BEWARE
Contacted the company asking when it would ship and waited 2 days for a response telling me they will check with shipping and get back to me.
What joke!

Purchased a Hover 1 Alpha Pro (directly from Hover 1 website) to replace the unserviceable Hover 1 alpha that I crashed and could not repair. Unit wasn't shipped until after Christmas, arrived DOA. Dead on Arrival and I have been begging Hover 1 customer service to assist me, jumped through all their hoops, Videos, and now I can not get them to respond. Its been 3 months with out transportation. I just need to get this thing replaced or credited back. Tell me something Hover 1!!!!

Warranties don’t mean anything if you can’t get in contact.

Like everyone else here I have been trying to get ahold of their customer service for weeks. My electric scooter stoped charging. This is my only form of transportation right now. I need a response. I can’t fix it myself or I void the warranty. At this point I just want to open it up and see what I can do. However, they don’t even sell replacement parts for my scooter so there’s no way for me to even fix it if I tried. Do not buy from this company. They will take your money and run. Their warranty is a scam.

Purchased this through Argos Retail…

Purchased this through Argos Retail back in September 2023 and had it delivered on the 28th September for my Daughters Birthday in October. Hoverboard initially had issues with charging however, finally managed to get it to charge. The hoverboard to date (11th March 2024) has been used twice only owing to the item not charging again - I have contacted Hover-1 support on a few occasions most recently being the 27th Feb 2024 - and this was acknowledged again via the automated service from Hover-1 but absolutely no response. I’m not left with a non-working hoverboard which wasn’t cheap and a very upset 10 year old. It really shouldn’t take months for customer or technical support to get back to a customer when it’s their equipment and product that is at fault - will not be ordering anything from Hover-1 in the future as the customer support and service is non-existent - companies like that are happy to take your money - then even happier to wash their hands of you once you have paid - really not impressed. If Trustpilot had a negative ratings scale I would rate Hover-1 and Argos at least -100 stars - Thanks

Please fix your customer service department

I have been trying to get ahold of hover-1 for awhile now but only get the same voice-mail message. Countless calls. Only emailed once but what's the point in more emails. Got myself the altai r750 and after 300 miles the battery gets about 10 miles a charge. Of course it's a few days after my Amazon warranty expired so I have no choice but to try and get ahold of hover-1. I can barely make it to work before the battery dies. The brake fluid on the back brakes have also leaked out of an inferior brake line within 360 miles. When can I get this resolved hover-1? If I was smart I should have read into the company before purchasing. I would gladly give a decent review if it wasn't for the customer service, because I actually really like and enjoy the bike. If it had a faster hub motor(or dual hub motors) and some minor upgrades, along with actual customer service, it would be a top of the line ebike.

Dead Product. No Customer Service. Illegal Activities.

Purchased hoverboard from a reputable national retailer - Best Buy - as a Christmas gift. After using indoors only for a couple weeks, it died completely and will not charge. The return period for Best Buy had passed (since it had been a Christmas gift), but it was under warranty from Hover-1. The phone number for customer support is just a recorded message telling you to submit a ticket online. I have done so and have not received anything other than a canned response. It has been weeks, still nothing. So in short, there’s an alleged “warranty” that is meaningless because Hover-1 doesn’t respond. Literally nothing you can do. This is illegal here in the U.S. Very unfortunate experience.

I bought a hoverboard for my son to give as his “ big present” on Christmas. He road it maybe 5 times and then it stopped working. It was over 30 days since I bought it early and cannot return to Amazon. I’ve submitted tickets in twice since January 11th and of course can’t call because no one answers. Still no response. I want my money back. Such a disappointment! This company is a joke!

No customer service at all!

Terrible customer service as you can see in other posts. Received Journey model scooter for Christmas. Would not take a charge since day 1. Called customer service, no answers, just instructions for submitting a support ticket. Submitted a ticket weeks ago and still no response.
