best way to organize with friends, love the memories

howbout literally saved my friend group

not even in a hyperbole way! i have a friend group of 12 of us, and when we all began working and going to university, it was basically near impossible to work out what day we would all be free to meet up at christmas, which made me so sad because i really value my friends in my life and it hurt to think we couldnt all be together because scheduling was such a hassle.

one of my friends suggested howbout, i think one of their friends used it, and at first the group was a little apprehensive - because we'd tried two other shared calendar apps before (famcal and timetree) and we really didnt get on with them. both had a lot of set up and were tricky for everyone to input their free dates!

howbout was a different ballgame - not only was it SO easy to set up all our individual calendars, and to view everyone's schedules at once, but we really quickly locked in a day for us all to catch up! that was in december 2023

it's now september 2025, and howbout has continued to be my favourite app on my phone ! not only does it make it easier to see when all my friends are free, but i can keep up with all the things going on in their lives which helps me feel even closer to them.

i honestly dont think my friend group would have stayed so close and tightknit if it wasnt for this app ! my friends and i see each other atleast once a month, and most people are baffled how we can find time for 12 people to all meet up so often, and its all thanks to howbout !!!

also i love the colours, its much prettier than my other calendars too, i love you howbout!

Howbout's made organising my social calendar a million times easier. Making plans with my friends is so much quicker with a shared calendar than trying to coordinate 23891313 group chats. And it's free!

As a shared calendar app, it works great, with the ability to set reminders etc. I've gone off it since a "wrapped" feature was introduced - a pointless, intrusive feature which turns all your past month's calendar date into a cringe-worthy summary of double entendres that give you that horrid feeling of someone peeping through a keyhole or stalking you. What's worse is that there's apparently no way you can turn it off in settings and if you don't scroll through it, you've got a permanent red badge in your notifications. Whoever thought that one up has ruined the app and has questionable pastimes...

Cannot get an email to reset password and cannot delete account. Contact help several times no response
