Their decoder set up is brilliant hate having too many functions bits nice and more simpler and does what it’s supposed to do such as different sounds are more audible than other decoder sellers

We have tested this decoder in the Hornby class 121 `bubble car` where we fitted a rectangular speaker in the underframe moulding, cut-away to allow the sound out. The weight was then re-affixed inside the roof. Below is a list of the Function keys and their assignments applicable to this model. F0. Lights on /off F1. Sound on/off F2. Horn 1, two tone F3. Horn 2, single tone F4. Driver/Guard communication buzzer F5. Door slam F6. Guards whistle F7. Rail joints F8. Flange squeal F9. Shunting mode, Press once the loco goes half speed, press it again and you are back to normal control. F10. Acceleration/Deceleration speed over ride. F11. Additional horn F12. Double door slam

Great sound and just fits into my Bachmann 108 2 car unit. Only slight thing is the speaker size is a bit big but not an issue

I was looking for a sound chip for a class 101 and I couldn’t find one that had that distinct exhaust growl that the class 101 has. Then I heard the Howes version, and I am very pleased with it.
