Super Ds with Joy piston valves have a distinctive exhaust beat anyway, but added wheeze typical of elderly locomotives makes it even more different. Very good addition to my fleet.

Below is a list of the Function keys and their assignments applicable to this model. F1. Sound on/off F2. Long whistle/hooter (press once and whistle will sound until pressed again) F3. Short whistle/hooter F4. Buffering up F5. Coupling up F6. Injectors F7. Drain cocks F8. Buffer clash on wagons F9. Accelleration/Decelleration over ride. Press once to over ride, press again to return to preset settings. F10. Shunting mode. Press once the loco goes slowly, press it again and you are back to normal control.

Tried loco with decoder yesterday for first time. Sound was good. There was quite a time lag between order and delivery but you did flag this on website at time of ordering. These high quality decoders are expensive. Paid £70 for loco second hand in vg condition. Decoder is almost £40 more than the loco! But I probably got a good deal on the loco.
