No refund for leftover money in account

No refund for leftover money in your wristband after afronation portugal
I had about €40 left on my wristband which I wasn’t refunded for. I went on the site to request it and never received anything.

Now the website says “cash out expired”
How does money expire!?
Chat agent is saying I never requested it and the refund window is 4 days between July 5 and July 9

Impossible to resell tickets

The downloading possibility of the ticket was only 3 days before the festival, which makes it almost IMPOSSIBLE almost to sell it.

A lot of things in Festivals sound like a scam...

My son attended Rolling Loud Portugal 2023 and used the cashless wristband.
He had some leftover funds, around 50€ and when he tried to get the money back this company replied the time to do it had just expired.
For me this sound like a big scam to keep people's money.
This should be regulated by the usual trading standards where you usually have a period of 14 days to regret, change or ask for a refund after buying something.
Rolling Loud sounded like a very good event. In 2022 it was quite full, this year not that much. I have bought my son the VIP tickets for the 2022 and 2023 events but I do not believe he will attend any more of these because everything is sounding more and more sketchy....I always feel sorry for people and companies that only look at profits. The customer is not always right but he is the one that make businesses possible. Be aware that you already have 15 really bad reviews. This number might grow....

Hi there, sorry to hear that the download date was moved. It is important that customers receive communication from the event in these situations, and I will make a note of this to bring up with the team.

Some events are moving the dates that tickets are available for download to very close to the start of the event. This is to protect customers from scams where scammers download their PDF and send multiple copies of it around. It is important to always download your ticket directly from your own Howler account - and if someone is selling a ticket, they must transfer it to you on Howler.

Disgusting!! Thieves!!

Disgusting!!! Never Again! I don’t even know where to begin! I went to AfroNation Portugal 2023 from the 28th-30th of July and had over €100 leftover between two cashless wristbands. I knew that cashouts were only available between 16:00 on the 5th of July and 23:59 on the 9th of July. 5 DAYS LATER, mind you, so there’s time for you to forget. THAT, I knew. I DO read Terms and Conditions. That’s why I set up an AUTO-CASHOUT, but they finessed this so well because for SOME STRANGE REASON Howler’s Auto-Cashout feature was unavailable for this event. Hmmm…I wonder why? Any thoughts? Moreover, these Terms and Conditions can only be found on the AfroNation website; NOT on Howler’s website, not in any of the emails sent by Howler inviting you to set up your cashless wristband vouchers, not even on your goddamn Howler account next to the humongous red/pink button that says “Set Up Auto Cashout.” Interesting. Fine. Ignorance is not an excuse, right? It’s not their fault the event organizer implemented such a ridiculous cashout window and policy to steal your money, right? Okay. Why go cashless? “Howler cashless is the modern, high-tech answer to easy transacting. It eliminates queuing, carrying your wallet around and battling connectivity issues. It is also so much more secure than traditional forms of payment.” …more like modern high-tech robbery! Over 40,000 people attended AfroNation. If the queues weren’t so long, I wouldn’t have had any money leftover to cash out. I would’ve much rather carried my wallet around and used my tap-to-pay or Apple Pay, but you know what Karma is and what do they say? Don’t get mad. Get even? Copy that.

Cashout windows and policies are basically theft

Went to Afronation 2023 for the first time and used a cashless wristband. I went to fill out the refund form and found out they had closed cash outs less than 2 weeks after the event. I reached out to them asking for my refund and was told I’d missed the deadline. I had €90 left and now I’m supposed to just lose that money. I can’t imagine how many people they are doing this to. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from this company. At the time of writing this review it is still less than 2 weeks since I attended the event.

This is basically theft, do not use Howler….. they are basically stealing from people with these policies.

Can't get my money back (50 euro or…

Can't get my money back (50 euro or more) after Sonar Lisbon. It's 1month and 1 week later already! I exchanged 10 emails with them to get back my 50 euro from a wristband. Filled in their form 3 or 4 times. And why do I even have leftovers? Because after I topped up my wristband (me and my friend were both using mine) money didn't show up for more than 1h from transaction (we showed an exact hour to a bartender and waited 20 mins for them to resolve this BS - losing the party). As a result I already wasted time worth 2x more (if I kept doing my work as I'm self employed) than it's left on this wristband. Someone should organize a lawsuit against and organizers shouldn't use this provider. Won't ever attend any party that forces to use their system. It's a scam.

I bought tickets for Elrow Manchester…

I bought tickets for Elrow Manchester club event on 17th December 2022 + event insurance. We got to the venue and were good by the security staff that our tickets were not genuine and that the only legitimate tickets were through ticketmaster. I feel foolish and annoyed that the money for the tickets had not gone to the event organisers as over 100 actors and acrobats took part so this sort of cynical ripoff is stealing from them as well as me. I will never use this website again and I will

Atrocious Customer Service

I found Howler's customer services utterly terrible. They take forever to reply to emails and the contact number listed doesn't actually exist.

You will never get your money back

I put some money on my wristband to enjoy a festival. They were supposed to refund all the extra money I did not spend during the festival on my bank account at the end of the event. 1 month later I still did not receive my money back, even after contacting the support team. Avoid them.
