The local store was outstandingly good. The delivery folks were friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately my (first) experience was soured because the chair and footstool both had faults with the leather. I was surprised that they passed inspection prior to despatch. To add insult to injury I’ waiting for about two weeks for someone to come and inspect them, even though the delivery operatives took pictures. I’m “storing” furniture I can’t use.

Very helpful in the showroom. Knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed a cup of coffee while I chose the right chair for me! It was delivered in 3 days and set up quickly and efficiently. I’m very happy with my purchase and the service I received. Thank you Caterham showroom!

Very friendly and efficient. Spent time and paid close attention to ensure I was buying the right product and specification.

Knowledgable and friendly staff who took the time to answer all our questions and show us all the options available. They then left us sitting in our chosen chairs with tea and biscuits for about 30 mins to ensure we were comfortable and happy with our choice before we finally proceeded to buy one.

On a miserable morning, and being able to park right outside shop, I was warmly welcomed by Tania. I had looked at brochure so knew the type of chair I required and the Aysgarth was top of my list. Tania carefully explained the workings, fabrics etc. I was offered a coffee and chose a fabric for the chair. I also ordered a 3 seater manual recliner settee. Delighted with purchases and help from Tania and her colleague. Now have to be patient for a while they are made.

We visited store in caterham, Tarnia gave us an excellent service , nothing was too much trouble and we even had tea and biscuits would definitely recommend this store

very efficient from beginning to end, char ordered with careful check it was right model and delivered within 3 days- not cheap but classy item, delivery was excellent and delivery man was very considerate and patient with care home and my mum thanks very much

I bought 2 reclined chairs from HSL the staff were friendly but they failed to mention when purchasing my patterned chairs they would not match so look odd as I ordered a pair.
One chair the seating is far to soft causing me to have back ache. The other chair is firmer but very uncomfortable and also half an inch shorter. When delivered I pointed out my concerns and just told me to contact hear office which I did and received a very negative response. HSL inspector came out to me and again negative response. I ordered the chairs on 3/5/25 and delivered on 9/7/25 this is still on going I'm 81 years and have health conditions including back problems which is why I bought the chairs as I thought it would help and I read the HSL website that you are occupational therapist approved. I am very disappointed as the chairs cost me £2842.50 I would not recommend HSL to anyone. From Gina Brown

Everything went very smoothly from the moment we walked into the showroom to the time that the item was delivered. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff helped us make the right choices, and the delivery drivers/installers were polite and efficient.

I thought the wall hugger meant the top of the bed would slide to vertical so I could reach stuff on bedside table and I paid extra for this, but it doesn’t hug the wall and I can’t easily reach bedside table🙀

Amazing staff, so much knowledge, helpful and kind too. Sofas are beautiful to look at, comfortable and well made.

Tania at the Caterham on the Hill HSL shop was very welcoming, helpful, informative, patient, professional and super efficient. After my initial visit to get information for my mother re the reclining chair and then taking my mother to the shop the next day we were very well informed by Tania and we looked at several options re the chair & types of material/colour etc. Tania made us feel at ease and my mother was happy to order the chair. Result! Thank you Tania!

HSL chairs were fantastic when I was buy a recliner riser chair on my uncles behalf, they were very informative and helpful but have a no pressure attitude, giving me the time to consider the best options. They had a range that could be delivered with in the week, which actually arrived in just 3working days. Friendly, professional service, would recommend.

We were well looked after by Max ( Maxine) She let us take samples home to check the colours and textures for our lounge. We were not pressurised in anyway and went away and came back the following week to make our order. Luckily we did as it all changed from our original choice due to size and colour. Everyone there was very friendly and when we came back they remembered us straight away. We were also offered a drink if we wanted one. The furniture sold there is also very good quality and well needed for my arthritis.

The salesman was very informative and helpful showing what my brother needed ie rising chair and made us feel at ease a true star
