HSL Chairs - Tillicoultry Sterling Reviews 

Katarina made the purchase of a 2 seater and 3 seater settee a wonderful, exceptional experience for us. She was extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful, and was reassuring regarding our particular delivery issue. Never at any point did we feel any pressure to buy. She kept in touch with us regarding an update and we were able to buy our settees on our second visit. The 'hospitality' was a lovely, unexpected touch. Thankyou.

There was no pressure to purchase. Taken through a full range of chairs with different features, staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Then left to own devices to make my decision and choice.

Your salesperson at Sterling, Tillicoultry, was excellent. Not pushy, just making sure we got exactly what we wanted.

From entering the HSL department at sterling at Tillicoultry the welcome was so warm.
We explained what we needed and Katerina immediately made us feel welcome and her knowledge on the products was commendable. We purchased two riser/recliners in a fabric suitable for our living room. These were delivered a day early which suited and the men brought them into the house and built them and placed them just right and they have been fantastic. The anology that was used “the three bears” was a perfect choice.

Despite pressure being put on Katerina by being only member of staff available in her dept she came across as personable and professional. Her thoroughness and friendliness led us to a happy outcome.

Polite, helpful staff. The sales person knew all about the products and was able to give us advice on what might suit us after we said what we were looking for. We eventually found the right chairs for us.

The next stage, regarding delivery etc. was fully explained.

I visited HSL at Sterling Furniture, Tillicoultry on 19 July. I was looking to purchase a recliner chair. I was impressed that staff welcomed me in a friendly manner and immediately asked if I needed assistance, but without intruding or pressurising. When I sought assistance, Claire was the HSL staff member who responded.
From start to finish, Claire provided outstanding support and service. I was hugely impressed that before even considering items in which I might be interested, Claire gave a comprehensive summary of HSL products and services. Most importantly, she also explained her own professional background before undertaking a comprehensive needs analysis to ascertain the best type of chair that might meet my needs.
Claire undertook this with a friendly and engaging manner, impressing with her courtesy and, most of all, her clear focus to best meet my support needs.
Claire was so patient and friendly but without ever losing professional focus.
Having decided which chair I might purchase, Claire again demonstrated her depth of knowledge of the product. She also took time to explain every aspect of the process from order through to delivery and post sales service.
That I placed an order was undoubtedly because of the quality of the furniture available. However, I cannot over emphasise how impressed I was by Claire. Her welcoming demeanour, professional expertise, patience and clear focus on meeting my needs made my visit one of the most pleasant and satisfactory 'shopping' experiences in a very long time.
If the process from here on in and the product when delivered match the quality of service offered by HSL, and particularly Claire, during my visit, I know I will be an extremely satisfied customer.

We ordered our chair and sofa through the Sterling branch of HSL and the customer service from start to finish was first class. Time was taken to measure my mum to ensure the chair was a perfect fit and we were shown a good selection of chairs. We took around 1 and half to 2 hours to choose the right chair and sofa for my mum and we were thrilled with the whole experience. The assistant who helped.. I can’t recall her name but she was foreign , was a star, so kind and caring and made us feel at home .. even offered coffee and brought biscuits!! So glad we visited the showroom… I would defo recommend!!

I’m sorry not to be able to give 5 stars, because apart from one thing my experience was hugely positive and I’m delighted with my new rise and recline chair, bought to replace one I bought elsewhere about 10years ago and which was too big for me.
I had an appointment at the outlet in Tillicoultry, which had only been open a few weeks. Right from the start I was treated as a valued customer by Claire who not only greeted me by name as soon as we appeared but offered us free refreshments! I spent a long time there but at no stage did I feel rushed or that I was being a nuisance. Claire had picked out the chair she thought I would be most comfortable in and had even put the heater in it on, so it felt like sheer luxury and I would have bought it straight away, but Claire encouraged me to try not only all ?4 sizes in the model I chose but also all the other models they had on display. Having chosen the original chair, she then had me sit in it again so she could check that it was ergonomically the right size and shape for me.
I was told delivery would be 6 to 8 weeks and I was phoned in week 6 to say my chair would be delivered 10 days later, between 8.30 and 12.
The Friday before the Monday delivery date, I was sent a text saying the delivery would be between 8.30 and 10, which meant I could accept an invitation that I thought I would have to miss.
The chair did not arrive so I phoned Dawn at customer services, who was most unhelpful, saying she couldn’t contact the delivery company to check when they would be with me and anyway they were too busy as there were only 6 people on in Customer Services as it was a bank holiday. She told me that my delivery had been booked for 8.30 to 12 and the text I had received was just an automated text, implying that the information in the text was not to be believed and that I should I have known this!
My chair did arrive before twelve and as previously stated, I’m delighted with it and I do not write this review to put people off HSL, who, with this single exception have treated me with professionalism and respect and sold me a good quality chair for a reasonable price. What a pity customer services is not up to the mark.
UPDATE
2 days later I had a very nice call from Olivia in Customer Services, a fulsome apology and my delivery charge refunded.

Overall experience was amazing!! Aaron was very knowledgeable and professional!!! The level of duty of care was outstanding!!! I sat in the Braham recliner and let me tell you it’s the most comfortable chair I’ve ever sat in. Before I knew it I had sat in it an hour and hadn’t adjusted myself to get comfortable the whole time I sat in the chair!! I really struggle to get comfortable normally. But it was so easy in these chairs!! Yes they are expensive but it’s so hard to get a good quality chair these days and with a 25 year frame guarantee!! So I decided to buy 2 Braham power recliners with heat function!!

Aaron’s customer care was outstanding!! He was assessing me while I sat in the chair. Making sure the seat I was sitting in was right size for me. And even though I dont have any mobility concerns at the moment!! I may have them in the future and I will already have the chairs to help me ☺️☺️

Won’t need to buy armchairs again!! Buy well, buy once!! ☺️☺️

Excellent service from Arron. We were looking for chairs with good back and neck support, Arron listened and let us see chairs which suited our support needs. Fabric also suited us. Cant wait to receive the chairs and sit in comfort. We had looked at HSL for a few weeks, did not know there was one at Tillicoultry in Sterling Home.

Katarina was very knowledgeable, patient and polite. She helped indentify the most suitable chair based on my needs. She took time to explain the various functions and ensured the chair was the correct size. At no time did we feel pressured to buy, and Katarina's patience and professionalism was the deciding factor that led to us making the purchase on the day.

Great customer service from Julie at the Sterling Mills HSL concession, with friendly advice and help and even a cup of coffee with biscuits!

Amazing service.

The staff member at the store was so helpful, gentle and kind. She managed to make mum feel like she mattered. The tea and biscuits were appreciated, and it gave us a chance to see how each of the chairs would work for mum in her own home. Couldn't praise the staff any more. It was a great service. Looking forward to seeing the furniture in the house, and for mum to have more comfort.
