We have spent over half a century making it our mission to understand the different sizes, shapes and needs of our customers. We have learnt how people sit, rest and sleep; how their bodies bend and move; and where and why they ache. We call this knowledge CleverComfort™, and it goes into the design and manufacture of every chair, sofa and bed we make – ensuring that our furniture fits the bodies of our customers perfectly.

Whilst our roots still remain in Yorkshire, we have welcoming showrooms nationwide spanning the entire country and a national network of Home Visit Comfort Specialists performing consultations in our customers’ own homes.

We’re still family-run, we continue to hold traditional values in our hearts, and we have always been dedicated to providing a caring service and excellent value for money for all of our customers.

As a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists, Julie Jennings Dip COT HCPC, is highly qualified and greatly respected. Julie is frequently consulted for independent advice by a wide range of clients throughout the UK and Europe. All our chairs, sofas and beds at HSL are approved by Julie Jennings. Thanks to her work, you can relax in comfort knowing that each piece in our range has been thoroughly tested and evaluated by an independent health expert.
