I have been a customer of Hudson Valley Host for several years. During this time the performance of my websites on shared hosting was consistently very slow, which severely impacted my business operations.
Additionally, a few years ago when I was using their VPS service, all my data was deleted during a migration — there were no usable backups and the hosting provider offered no adequate remedy.
Despite staying with the shared hosting plan afterwards, I never saw meaningful improvement and decided it was time to move to a more reliable host.

In summary: poor uptime, slow loading times, and a history of data loss make me unable to recommend Hudson Valley Host to anyone looking for professional web hosting.

This company, and I will use that term loosely, are scammers. You pay for a product and ask for the most basic of support and tickets are locked and unanswered. I would give them negative "stars" if it were possible. Lost money on these turds but it will not happen again. Take the time to research them. I can add links to multiple complaints if needed.

the login credentials i used to login cant be accepted , always ends up in error, then they will block login for 4 days . Upon creating account, its already shady that i have to set 100+ character password (combination of symbols, letters and number) like w-t-f cant u just set a normal password? So thats what its for. then upon checking out ( glad im only testing since many says its a scam), waited hours and no email confirmation about my order of when will it activate and available, then upon login now theres an error and banned for four days.. nice way to scam people. glad i used paypal, time to take my money back.

Updated, they lost all my data, no backups, no nothing. Just a "Sorry, we need to recreate your VPS. All the data is gone". They refused to even refund my money after losing all my data. Avoid like the plague. Zero Stars.

Constant issues with VPS stability. My VPS will just randomly stop working, and they have to restart it. You can't run any kind of serious website from this space, it's too much of a joke. The one thing you have to do as a hosting company is provide hosting with good uptime, and they fail.

they shut down my server for no reason given, i did not host anything illegal just some 301 redirects for my domains, then they told me "i need to fix" my server with VNC console, which is also not working, furthermore i used a @gmx.at Email Addy 100% legit email address, TOTALLY ZERO EMAILS FROM THEM arrived, did not get any signup confirmation, no billing confirmation also not the Email with the solus vm credentials, I also opened ticket because of that issue, and they dont even read my tickets, I asked them to totally reinstall / erase my vps and they sayed i need to refer to the credentials in the welcome email, and they did not even read my other ticket that I TOTALLY GOT NO, 0, ZERO emails from their site. PS: the PTR Reverse dns of this provider's VPS is something with colocrossing.com THAT MUST BE SOME BAD RESELLER OR STH, because 3 years AGO i had massive problems already with ANOTHER PROVIDER using the same rdns colocrossing.com

When my VPS finnally will newly deployed: LOLL I wonder how long it will take until again they will shut it down....

They have the worst customer service, their IP is blacklisted.

Awful service. Once, I've lost all my databases, it's good that i had backup. A week ago, my account was suspended, i couldn't login to the page, i had 0 control. The only thing what was left is to write them mail. The support was TERRIBLE. Going back and forward, nothing happened, they told me, we cannot get back your pages, too much phishing from your sites. I asked them kindly, what can we do about it, well, we can send you backup and migrate to other outer service. And now, no money back...
