Annalisa Magno of the Military Depart has been fanatic throughout my case. I firmly belive my claim wouldn't have been settled or progressed as well as it had without her being my Solicitor.

Peter Renshaw of Hugh James helped me and my daughter deal with her PIP appeal on a pro bono specialist support. From the outset we found him thorough and he guided us through a very difficult process with great care. He did a lot of work behind the scenes. We had a positive outcome at the appeal and I doubt this would have been possible without Peter’s help.

My son (now an adult), was as a child involved in a serious road traffic accident sustaining a traumatic brain injury. Some time ago needing advice and guidance to fight a benefit appeal, I contacted Headway - the National Charity for Brain Injury Survivors who recommended that I contact a Manchester based solicitor experienced in managing contentious welfare claims and that his involvement would be on a pro bono basis - it was a turning point!

I have been dealing with Hugh James Solicitors since early 2025 in relation to my late mothers estate. I found them very easy to deal with and the ability to to do most things electronically made my life a lot easier. Holly and Jessica kept me up to date with everything including timescales which when dealing with an estate is sometimes not quick. Any queries that I may have had were answered quickly and in an easily understandable form which when dealing with legal terms and processes can be a bit complicated. Sorting out a deceased estate is not an easy time for the family but the services of Hugh James Solicitors made things a lot easier for us.

Our representative, michelle Evans was amazing throughout the whole experience. She was professional, knowledgeable, understanding and compassionate, the is a credit to the firm. She made the whole process easy to understand and navigate.

I was impressed by the speed , efficiency, communication and pleasant way the matter was dealt with . This was particularly gratifying at a difficult time for me following my mother’s passing .

I don't know why my original review is not displayed. I was allocated a solicitor from overseas who had literally just joined the Firm. Although very pleasant, I don't consider my potential case to have been handled professionally and also, the Partner involved delayed matters by "forgetting" to escalate it. They used one "expert", without giving the full circumstances of the medical negligence I experienced and then said they would not take the case. I have now seen previous reviews and wish I had looked at these before contacting Hugh James.

I sadly had to reasently contact Hugh James solicitors after my Father passed away. I had the great fortune, luck and pleasure to speak with Ellie Jenkins.
It is the first time I've been in this situation, but Ellie was really great at putting me at easy and explaining everything e.g process and in a very easy to understand. If I had to ask something again it was explained with the same carm measuring tone. When ever I called to ask a question she had the same tone and great advice and understanding. I felt I was in great hands, and reasured nothing was a problem, right up to being assigned our own solicitors to help take this further.

I reached out to Hugh James in early November 2021 about a potential personal injury claim, not knowing anything about a traumatic brain injury and how hard life was gonna get I was instructed with Sandeep gill a fantastic solicitor, very understanding always there to listen, very respectful one of the nicest people i’ve ever met. Sandeep's so professional of what he does he’s so quick he makes sure that everything done before deadlines so it makes it reassuring for the claimant and doesn’t make it stressful, he’s very well mannered in correspondence, very fast on emails and makes expert reports very well understanding by breaking them down and explaining very clearly, any problems he’s in contact rapidly with every intention to sort it out the best and fast way.
