We’re Forest. You know, those shared ebikes in London that look like trees. We’re London’s most affordable and most sustainable shared eBike. We give everyone 10 minutes free riding time, every day. It doesn’t stop at 10 minutes though, we offer riders a way to get even more free minutes by watching ads from our conscious-minded partners. We power our operations with 100% renewable energy (which we have done since day 1). We then offset our manufacturing emissions by growing an actual forest, through local and responsible tree planting, in Wales.

Awful
We are seeing more and more of these bikes dumped on pavements and in parks
When notified they send a generic “we’re sorry” mail but clearly don’t care
Should be fined every time one is left blocking a pavement as a hazard for disabled and those with young children in buggy’s

Great delivery! Very friendly & helpful carried my log storage to where I wanted it although it was heavy! Thank you Paul M 🙂
Completely dishonest pricing structure with hidden fees that they make as hard as possible to see. Forest used to offer worse bikes for lower cost. Competitors now offer significantly better bikes at more transparent prices with better service. Avoid.

False advertising.
Should be illegal to state first 10 minutes are free when it actually costs £1.90 unlock and service fee. I just don't understand how a company can be allowed to get away with it.

No portal to dispute charges made in error.

10 minutes free is a lie.
Bought a months pass. 5 bikes in the first 3 days of use were damaged/ dangerous to be on roads. Including one where the back wheel was flat and loose.

The marketing on the app says “get 10 minutes absolutely free every day” in actual fact you have to pay a £1 unlocking fee plus a 90p daily service fee which is hidden in the small print and only disclosed if you click on the tiny “?” Icon.
So ultimately you’re just paying a slightly discounted rate of £0.19 per minute for the first 10 minutes and then back to the standard rate of £0.29 per minute. This is extremely misleading and it’s also expensive. Not worth it.

I am not happy with the advertising used to lure in new customers using Forest bikes. I was charged £16.99 for an hour for two bikes and i will not be selecting this bike again. Not clear pricing when purchasing a new ride and the bikes did not turn off properly even though the app confirmed the conclusion of service by ending the rides!. I ended my usage and then wanted to use the same bike later that day … it appeared to be available but did not allow myself or another random by stander to purchase another request for usage/service! The app just kept on loading screen.
Not happy

- Great app as it is very fast to load and easy to use
- Too many ads in the app. I get that your are using them to fund the 10 free minutes a day but please integrate the ads better
- Bikes are only easy to find in parts of London not everywhere
- Bikes heavy and if not parked properly I have seen strong winds push them over. So be careful one does not fall on you
- Price: too expensive. You need to drop the price down and maybe give us a £10/month option for 10-15 hours a month. That would allow us to use the service for about half of our monthly commute and the other half we can use the bus/train etc.

£29 for 1 hour ride. I read that the ride was free for the 1st ride, but halfway through my ride read the details and realised that I was being charged per min. I am deleting the app and will be using the Santander bikes which are a bit lighter than these bikes and much more affordable.
These Forrest bikes are very heavy!
People please double check before committing to this bike scheme.

they always charge way more than what they should, they lie about their pricing...besides the bikes aren't well maintained. avoid.

I rented their bike for 27 minutes for the first time like a week ago so they say 10 minutes is free so that means i only used 17 minutes and i got charged £5 for that and you have to pay a £1 unlock fee and a £0.90 daily service fee so i paid £7+ for a 27 minute trip. They advertise as 10 minutes free but they charge me £1.90 when i use the bike💀. They dont advertise that the unlock fee is £1 nor the daily service fee is £0.90 they just say 10 minutes is free like if you use the bike for 10 minutes or less, you wont be charged a penny which is false. Very misleading thats like using £2 to use a bike for 10 mins.

Be careful of these bikes, they have a piece protruding from the center of the handle bars, that is an add-on. I now have bruises from the bottom to the top of my sternum, and am in pain. It needs to be removed.

Recently stopped riding motorcycle after 22 years and now just public transport but if I can will always choose forest for bike hire. Find buying bundles the ideal option for me.
Finding new parts of london cause of the routes locally and I'm loving it

I been using a year and I think there is a amusch better ways to use this service that need to improve first
You ask to pay 6£ deposit to use it
And in the page and in the advertising says you can use 10 min fault free but I been charge every time I use + 5 every time I use so there is no free use and they keep charge u 5 £ for that reason use Uber they don’t charge 5£ and the amount your use is a bit high

Being fooled out due to the ad of "10 minutes free daily"; the fact is we need to at least spend £1 to unlock the bike and £.90 for service fee so in total is at £1.90 for that "10 minutes free daily" adv. Highly unrecomended!

The free 10 minutes daily ride time is the saving grace for Forest, otherwise the charges are too expensive and more expensive than all other forms of public transport. So only feasible to use once per day and not for a daily commute both ways. As others have suggested, both cost per minute and daily fees increase without warning. Forest really needs to treat customers with respect and communicate price increases in advance. I have only realised that the 50p daily fee is now 90p, having read your review feedback here, which is really annoying particularly as the cost per minute has also seen a large percentage increase. The blue River bikes were a terrible ride with their hard tyres - I’m glad that these do not appear to be around so much.

Bikes are very good, well-maintained.
Good coverage and availability.
The app is rubbish - slow and glitchy.

Affordable and speedy way to get round the city, with a much better grasp on ethical business than a lot of its competitors. As someone who’s always running late, the free 10 mins ride time is a lifesaver when I need to get somewhere quicker than a bus can, but that isn’t far enough for a tube. The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the occasional unlock glitch, though support are always on hand to help with that.
