Great Support

Mystery Advisory Fees for Passive Funds & Changes Made Without Consent or Communication

Poor customer experience, changes made to our investment options without our approval or adequate communication

I received an email saying my Vanguard fund would be swapped with a Russel fund without any explanation why this change was being made and without any information on the new fund e.g. expense ratios, historical performance

Vanguard is the most reputable and trusted brand for index funds. It is being replaced with a vendor no one has heard of and we do not have an option to stop it

I wasn't happy with the recurring fees Human Interest charges simply for owning funds like VTSAX. What are these "HIA Advisory Fees" and "HII Record Keeping and Custodial fees" when Vangaurd manages this fund, what advice am I paying for here?

Not worth the terrible integration

As an employer, we were initially really excited to find Human Interest - the pricing was transparent and competitive, and they promised an integration with our PEO that would run seamlessly with minimal management from us. While the pricing is good, the integration has proved to be a fiction. It has broken twice, and it was not noticed either time by Human Interest - our employees, who pay attention to their money, caught that contributions had stopped. I was willing to write the first time off to a fluke, but the second time we pushed for answers and it turns out their was a known issue with their API. I guess no one thought it might be important to monitor potentially impacted accounts? Three months later and I'm still trying to get the missing contributions processed, in a back and forth that has reached comical levels of inefficiency.

If you plan on relying on their payroll provider integrations, be advised that with the money you're saving, you're purchasing headaches. We will be looking for a new provider in 2026, and would recommend you save yourself the trouble.

Marissa T. is great!

The incredibly long wait for assistance was quite annoying, nut once connected with Marissa she was extremely helpful by explaining to me the process which I seem to be stuck in limbo for my funds disbursement. The clerk that I ended up speaking to on the IRA side, however, was absolutely useless so I’m still no better off that when I started. Thank you Marissa for doing your part!

Marissa T Super Helpful

I recently started at a new company and had some questions about rollover since I was mailed a check and didn't know what to do with it. I waited less than 2-3 minutes for someone to assist and Marissa was super patient, helpful, and answered all of my questions. These types of things tend to make me very anxious and I feel much better now that I am on the right track now!

Friendly customer service.
My wait time on the phone was a bit long, but once connected, the representative jumped right in and helped resolve my issues and concerns promptly. I was very pleased with the care and professionalism shown. I would encourage the company to continue prioritizing customer calls to improve time efficiency overall.
