I received an email saying my Vanguard fund would be swapped with a Russel fund without any explanation why this change was being made and without any information on the new fund e.g. expense ratios, historical performance
Vanguard is the most reputable and trusted brand for index funds. It is being replaced with a vendor no one has heard of and we do not have an option to stop it

Not worth the terrible integration
As an employer, we were initially really excited to find Human Interest - the pricing was transparent and competitive, and they promised an integration with our PEO that would run seamlessly with minimal management from us. While the pricing is good, the integration has proved to be a fiction. It has broken twice, and it was not noticed either time by Human Interest - our employees, who pay attention to their money, caught that contributions had stopped. I was willing to write the first time off to a fluke, but the second time we pushed for answers and it turns out their was a known issue with their API. I guess no one thought it might be important to monitor potentially impacted accounts? Three months later and I'm still trying to get the missing contributions processed, in a back and forth that has reached comical levels of inefficiency.
If you plan on relying on their payroll provider integrations, be advised that with the money you're saving, you're purchasing headaches. We will be looking for a new provider in 2026, and would recommend you save yourself the trouble.
