No idea about what they're doing

They clearly lacked organization and had a really messy, confusing workflow from start to finish. I was invited to join their 'Emerald Project,' and the onboarding process alone was a mess: first I had to join their Slack channel, then I got invited to their Discord, then to their actual platform, and finally to Canva, where I had to correct a bunch of slides. Before that, we had to study some training material that was full of vague, subjective rules, which made the whole task feel arbitrary from the start.
To make things worse, my work and my coworkers' work were reviewed by people who clearly didn't know what they were doing. Submissions often got rejected based on the reviewer's mood rather than any consistent or objective standard. On top of that, we were promised payment for various tasks, but in the end the whole thing turned out to be a massive waste of time that dragged on for a month. There were constant platform glitches, staff who weren't supportive at all, and total confusion in the support channels, since even the moderators didn't know how to properly open threads on Slack or Discord.
If you're thinking about getting into data annotation work, I'd honestly steer clear of this company. There are far better, more serious, and more professionally run companies out there. Looking back, I have no idea what they were actually trying to accomplish. It felt less like a real job and more like some kind of mass experiment on the people working for them, for Free
