We were very disappointed with our experience at Huntington. Before paying for the assessment, we were only informed about the assessment fee and the hourly tutoring rate. At no point were we told about the additional $250 registration fee or that the entire tutoring program must be paid for or financed up front rather than paying per session.

We initially felt very hopeful that they could help our daughter, which is why we agreed to move forward with the assessment. However, after meeting with the director to review the results, we learned about these additional requirements and fees that had never been disclosed beforehand.

The lack of transparency left us feeling misled and frustrated. Unfortunately, we are now out the cost of the assessment and feel that the full financial commitment should have been clearly explained from the beginning.

I would highly discourage anyone from enrolling their child at Huntington Learning Center.
My daughter attended this program in 2024 for SAT preparation. We committed to a several weeks program and paid over $4,590 with the expectation that her SAT scores would improve. She had perfect attendance throughout the entire program and fully participated in every session. Unfortunately, after completing the program, her SAT score was actually lower than her original score.
Throughout the several weeks, I received virtually no academic feedback or progress updates. She was constantly taken to a room in the back for sessions, and there was no meaningful engagement or communication with me about her performance, areas of improvement, or concerns. The only person who spoke with me regularly was the Director, who is very nice, but kindness does not replace results or transparency. After investing a significant amount of money and time, we were ultimately told they cannot guarantee results. While that may be part of their policy, families deserve measurable progress, consistent communication, and accountability when making this kind of financial commitment.
In our experience, we saw no return on our investment. I strongly recommend considering a private tutor instead, where there is more individual attention, communication, and measurable progress.

I appreciated all the tutors but Doug the director manager rarely responded to emails and when he did it was a few word responses. Customer service was quite poor and rates were changed without notifying us. When I inquired about it I didn’t get responses.

Useless. All they think is how much they can get out of you. Teachers are clueless teenagers. Stay away, run don’t walk.

We enjoyed some of parts of Huntington Learning Center and not so much the other parts. Some of the parts like having an assessment and structured plan was very helpful in the beginning. We also got reports that gave us a good look at how to help our kids improve. The method itself was a bit tedious and rigid and the kids needed a bit more flexibility when it came to fitting their learning style. Beestar does a great job in terms of being suitable for different learning styles. We've really enjoyed all aspects of their website.

The owner was very rude. Their SAT material is outdated. Way too cold in there.
